I used to work as a plastic surgery nurse, and now I work at a university hospital, so I know everything about the operating room and hear a lot through the grapevine. Because of that, even if I felt something was lacking about myself, it was hard to readily decide on surgery..? (Sometimes knowing too much can be a drawback haha)
After thinking it over, I ended up getting surgery at MD through introductions from our nurse colleagues.
If I were to talk about my criteria for choosing the clinic: -A clinic specializing in breasts -Really diverse aftercare (to the point that some colleagues had surgery elsewhere and only receive aftercare here) -The director’s experience (**this was the most important) -A place where, when I asked coworkers or people around me, they said, “Oh, I know that place”
On the day of the consultation, I got everything from an ultrasound exam to blood tests and even scheduled my surgery date before leaving. (This was also great because everything could be done at one clinic. Some places tell you to go to an affiliated hospital for those tests.)
On the day of surgery, I went alone (because my home and the clinic aren’t that far apart). When I woke up from anesthesia, I was out of it, but the other nurses around me helped me well, so even alone, it was kind of? okay.
I had surgery in the morning, rested enough at the clinic, then came to my senses and took a taxi home. (It was really such a short drive that I had trouble getting a taxi..;;)
After getting home, I leaned against a triangular cushion and rested for a long time, then around almost 11 p.m.? 12 a.m.? I ate porridge, took my prescribed medicine, then leaned back and kept repeating falling asleep and waking up for quite a while
Since where I work now is a university hospital, there’s a lot of physical work, so I tried to rest as much as possible, but with the weekend included, I only barely got 5 days off
I was worried that if I made my breasts too big, I might look bulky? but not at all hahaha I got Motiva 340 on the left and 400 on the right, so I evened out the asymmetry while increasing my breast size to a full C hahaha
For now, I’m still at the stage where I have to wear bras without wires (wired ones are possible after 3 months), so I bought seamless bras from Uniqlo and have been wearing them, but M was too tight, so I’m wearing L~ (AIRism Ultra Relax is super comfortable!!)
For now, doing things like lifting heavy objects or physically demanding tasks (changing beds and that kind of physical work) is still too much for me, so the colleagues I work with are being very considerate They’ve all had breast surgery before, so they help me as if it were their own issue hahaha Thanks to them, I’m working very comfortably now
