Nose Re-Surgery

A piggy nose isn’t important to me

Conclusion: Is the feeling of ear cartilage in the nasal tip uncomfortable? It’s not that the silicone in my nasal bridge has contracted or anything, but it’s so uncomfortable (smell, showing through, cold sensitivity, etc.), so I’m planning to remove it.. It’s been so long since the surgery that I don’t remember, but they said my nasal tip had no strength, so they were going to put in some kind of support strut. I don’t know the material. When I asked the hospital, they said it was so long ago that even the chart had been discarded. So for 20 years, I lived thinking something had been put in my nasal tip. Without thinking much about it.. but when I think about it, my ear cartilage is still intact.. Did they use my septum.. But I went to two hospitals for removal consultations, and at one place they said the nasal tip is my own.. At the other, they said they could feel a foreign-body sensation. The stories are different. Both places said they would only know accurately after opening it up, but if I lift my nasal tip with my hand, it does make a piggy nose, though because of the silicone in the nasal bridge, it feels like it only goes about halfway? My nose is very low. So before going around for consultations, I had thought, since the nasal tip had been touched anyway, I should take everything out and just raise the nasal tip. But human psychology is funny.. when the first hospital said the nasal tip seemed to be my own, I just wanted to remove everything and not touch it. I want to live comfortably (remove everything and do nasal tip cartilage repositioning.. cartilage tying?) vs Still, I should do the nasal tip (ear cartilage) These two thoughts are fighting in my head. Both hospitals said that if ear cartilage is put in the nasal tip, I won’t be able to make a piggy nose. A piggy nose isn’t important to me. I don’t care if I can’t do it, but is a nose corrected with that ear cartilage very uncomfortable?! Is it usable for life even if I put up with the discomfort? Does a nasal tip with ear cartilage have the same foreign-body sensation as silicone in the nasal bridge?! (If so, I don’t want to do it. These things are tightening and pulling like crazy right now.) And I guess they connect the ear cartilage down to where the philtrum is, right? Will it be uncomfortable? Should I not do it? I want to know what an ear-cartilage nasal tip feels like. Everyone who has had it done, please share your experiences. Piggy nose, seriously… I don’t think I’ll even look at boiled pig’s head meat from now on.
