I’m leaving a review because the results came out so well after I got my mom upper and lower blepharoplasty + fat grafting lol As her daughter, I think it was a really good thing to do! I’m glad I had it done for her lol At first, the reason we considered surgery was because her eyes had sagged a lot, making it hard for her to open them, and her eyes looked very heavy and stuffy. Especially because her eyelids kept drooping, I was worried about her field of vision too, and I think I was even more concerned watching from the side. She had upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, and fat grafting done together. Honestly, at first I was really worried about whether recovery would be okay since my mom is in her 70s, but after consulting with the head doctor, I thought, okay, let’s look at this in the long term! So I persuaded my mom and she had the surgery. In the early period after surgery, the swelling and bruising were a bit severe, so there were moments when I wondered if we had done it for nothing. Especially around days 3 to 5, there was some swelling, and the bruising around her eyes was dark enough that you might be a little surprised if you saw it for the first time. But after 2 weeks, I could see the swelling noticeably going down, and around 1 month, her eyes and even the fat-grafted areas were settling into place. From then on, I thought, ah, this turned out well lol Most of all, my mom looked in the mirror and was really satisfied, so that was the biggest relief lol Since she had several procedures, I did expect the recovery period to be a bit long, but after a month she was somewhat okay, and now it’s month 3. Can you see that everything has settled in well overall? People around us often get surprised when they see my mom’s face these days, so I feel proud for no reason lol It’s not that I wasn’t worried about the recovery process because she’s in her 70s… But in this era where people live to 100, even though it was late, I still wanted to have it done for her now. If anyone here is considering surgery for a family member, don’t worry too much just because of the recovery period! I think it’s better to watch how things change over time before judging. I was really worried at first too, but now I’m genuinely satisfied, so I’m leaving this for anyone with similar concerns to refer to!
