>>No-implant surgery<< was what I got fixated on, so I shopped around and ended up having surgery here. My nose already had a certain amount of bridge support, and rather than the bridge, what stressed me out was that the tip was low and looked blunt, so I was the type who decided to get rhinoplasty because of that. At other places, they only said negative things like I should still put in silicone, that it would be better to place even a thin layer, that my septum was deviated, that I should do functional nose surgery… etc. I was confused because I only heard negative things and the explanations didn’t make sense to me, and in the middle of that I went to VN. To start with the difference, this was the first place that accurately measured the size of my septum and told me. And other hospitals said septal extension couldn’t be done, but here they said it could. Since only this place said it was possible, at first I actually felt some resistance, but as I said earlier, they told me the size of my septum, and said that although my septum is deviated, it isn’t to the point where it can’t be used at all. Instead, they said ear cartilage would have to be used together, and that was something I had already taken into account, so I said okay too. I thought about functional nose surgery, but after looking into reviews of other hospitals too, there were many reviews saying it recurred again, and side effects from functional nose surgery can also occur, so I gave up on it.
>>>After surgery~ After surgery, maybe because they didn’t touch the nasal bridge, there wasn’t even a splint, so it was comfortable, and I only had taping for 3 days, then removed it myself at home. I was a little worried when peeling off the tape that something might go wrong, but it came off easily. There wasn’t much pain in the nose itself. Rather, my right ear, where the ear cartilage was taken, hurt more. I couldn’t lie on my side when sleeping, so that was frustrating too, but after getting the ear stitches removed at one week, I became relatively freer even when sleeping. At the one-month mark, they showed me a comparison between my pre-surgery photo and my current nose, and even though it was no-implant, it was amazing that the nose shape had clearly changed. The director said the swelling had almost all gone down, but still told me to be careful not to bump my nose into anything until the six-month mark. The swelling laser treatment I had been looking forward to the most honestly felt like it may or may not have had an effect lol I’m relieved that at least my nose seems to have turned out well the way I wanted.
