Eye Surgery Reviews

Review of LH Plastic Surgery Clinic in a community

Eyes before surgery: no fat, no epicanthal folds, naturally open eyes with the mucous membrane at the inner corners visible; they were large eyes (back in my day... there were circle lenses that only people with big eyes could wear lol), but my ptosis was extremely severe (genetic), so I had forehead wrinkles since elementary school, and my eyelashes were long and straight. They were the kind of eyes that could be operated on through insurance at an ophthalmology clinic.

Surgery: full-incision double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction, early 2011 (?)

I had surgery here three times lol. After the first surgery, the swelling went down so quickly and it looked so natural that I could put on makeup and go teach at an academy even before the stitches were removed, but maybe my ptosis was really strong because it came undone two more times afterward. When it came undone, my eye would suddenly feel a sharp ache and swell up a lot, and once the swelling went down, it would be undone. The swelling lasted longer in the order of first surgery < revision surgery <<< second revision surgery, and after the last surgery it lasted so long that I thought, what is this? I looked in the bathroom and saw a tiny stitch left behind, so I barely managed to pull it out by hand, and the swelling went down within a few days. (I didn't receive anything; I'm writing this review honestly!) On the third surgery, maybe there were adhesions, because when the stitches were being removed, I was in so much pain that it was chaotic, so I just assumed maybe there had been a mistake and let it go.

Result: There probably aren't many people whose full-incision surgery came undone twice, right? I think it was because my eye-opening muscles are weak. After the first surgery, unless I showed people the stitches first, others couldn't tell I had surgery, and the swelling was completely gone around day 3? I had no fat in my eyes and I may also be physically resilient, but basically I think the surgeon is good. Now, maybe because I had three surgeries, I have slight overcorrection (mucosal eversion over the iris area), depressed surgical scars, and scar tissue and marks are all clearly visible. As for the shape... people all say my eyes are pretty, so I think they are good at setting the line.

I had the surgery 15 years ago, after the CSAT, sometime in the winter of the following year, and I looked it up just in case and they are still doing surgery? This place was originally called LH because there was one director for eyes (L) and one director for noses (H), but maybe the nose director became independent. Even when I got surgery, the doctor seemed older and trustworthy, so I chose this place, and by now he must be almost a long-established figure there haha.
