Hi! I had consultations at 6 places in total. Among the 4 places that looked at CT scans, 3 said it wasn’t contracture, while the 2 places that used ultrasound and palpation said it was contracture, so I don’t know which is right (exactly half say it is contracture and half say it isn’t) I don’t have any symptoms of contracture or inflammation, and I was just going around for removal consultations because the ear cartilage at my nasal tip was showing through. I ended up deciding on silicone removal + nasal tip revision surgery. But the place I like (D) says it isn’t contracture, so they won’t remove the entire capsule (they said my skin is thin, so removing the capsule could actually be worse). I’ve also heard that even if it isn’t contracture, it’s better to remove the whole capsule.. I don’t know what’s right. Has anyone here had an implant removed without capsule removal? Is capsule removal necessary?
