Hello. My nose was not usually noticeably or severely odd-looking, but personally, the hump visible from the side profile was always a concern and a complex for me. Through the consultation, I decided to proceed with rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage and 2 mm silicone to improve my nasal line. Immediately after surgery, there was swelling and it was still part of the recovery process, so it felt a little awkward, but as time passed, the swelling gradually went down and I could see the nasal line becoming more refined, which reassured me. In the beginning, the area around my nose felt a little stiff and there were things I had to be careful about, but there was no major inconvenience in daily life.
It has now been about 3 to 4 weeks since surgery, and compared with the beginning, a lot of the swelling has gone down, so it feels like the nasal line is gradually settling naturally. In particular, the hump that stressed me the most before surgery has been cleanly improved, and the side profile line has become much softer, which is the part I am most satisfied with. From the front as well, the overall nasal line looks more refined than before, so I feel like my impression looks a little cleaner, and I am satisfied.
Recently, I visited RU Plastic Surgery for a follow-up appointment and had Director Kim Hyun-joo check my condition. She said the recovery process is progressing normally and well, so I felt reassured. She explained that it will still take more time for everything to fully settle, but the current progress is good, and as more swelling goes down over time, the nasal line should settle even more naturally.
Before surgery, I had many concerns, but now I am satisfied because the part that bothered me the most seems to have been improved naturally. I am still in the recovery process, but I am quite satisfied with the changes so far, and I am also looking forward to seeing my nasal line fully settle as more time passes.
