My nose was originally on the small and short side, so I’d been seriously thinking about rhinoplasty for a long time ㅠ In photos, my nose looked blunt, and I wasn’t satisfied with my side profile either, so I kept thinking I’d do it someday… and finally did it this time lol Since it was my first surgery, I didn’t know where to get it done, and I had a lot of worries like, what if it turns out badly? But a friend recommended a place, so I went for a consultation lol
I had a consultation with Director Choo Sung-cheol at D-Day, and he looked carefully at the condition of my nose and the look I wanted. He also explained in detail how the surgery should be done, so after hearing that, I felt a bit more at ease lol
I wanted the nasal tip to be firmly supported, so I used autologous costal cartilage! At first, I wondered if it was right to use autologous costal cartilage from the first surgery, but I heard that these days many people use it from the start, so I just decided to go with it lol
What I worried about most before surgery was pain, but it wasn’t extremely painful like I expected. It was just a bit sore and uncomfortable? lol
It’s been about a month now, and my formerly short nose feels somewhat improved and slightly lengthened, so I think my facial proportions look better too! Especially the side profile has changed a lot, and from the front, the nasal tip looks more refined, so my impression seems clearer lol Before, I looked a bit dull, but now I look much sleeker lol
People around me also say my vibe has changed lately, and I feel like I hear that I look pretty more often, so that makes me feel even better lol
Maybe because it’s autologous costal cartilage, the nasal tip definitely feels firmly supported, and when I touch it, it feels slightly firm. But since it’s only been one month, I’m going to keep watching it!
The swelling is going down faster than I expected, and there’s only a little residual swelling left. I didn’t do any especially intense aftercare, just light warm compresses at home, but for one month post-op, it feels quite natural already lol
The residual swelling hasn’t completely gone down yet, so I think it’ll become even more natural going forward. After another month or two, I expect it’ll settle much more than now, so I’m looking forward to it! These days I’m satisfied to the point where I think I should’ve done it earlier lol
