I had a consultation mainly about the areas I had been concerned about. The clinic atmosphere wasn’t bad, but there were some aspects of the consultation that felt a bit disappointing. During the consultation with the director, they recommended upper epicanthoplasty and fat grafting together, but the estimate came out quite a bit higher than I expected, so I was taken aback. Personally, I didn’t want to go as far as upper epicanthoplasty, so I said I wanted to exclude that part. But the consultant said, “If you don’t do upper epicanthoplasty, would you be okay if your double eyelid line becomes distorted later?” Rather than giving me confidence, they strongly emphasized the possible side effects of not doing it, so I felt pressured, and in that moment my desire to proceed further there completely disappeared. Everyone may feel differently, but I found the pushy atmosphere burdensome, so I’m planning to look around at other places too. If you’re going in for a consultation, I think it’s best to go with a clear sense of the line you personally want.
