First, I swear on both my mom and dad that I am not a broker🫡 I came back to this community after a long time.. and I remembered that even back when I was searching hard online and going around for consultations, there weren’t many reviews from over a year later, so I thought this might help everyone and decided to write a post! First of all, I didn’t have the money or the mental energy for revision surgery, so my mindset was: pay the proper price and finish it in one go no matter what! I only went for consultations at contouring-specialist hospitals that were safe and had experience, about 6 places, and all of them recommended 3 types of facial contouring. What I was aiming for was simply an upgraded version of the face I already had, and I didn’t particularly intend to look like any celebrity. (No matter how much money you pour into it, you won’t look exactly the same anyway.) And originally, I was planning to do contouring and rhinoplasty separately, but on the day of surgery, I suddenly changed my mind and thought, since I’m lying down anyway, let’s just do it all! So I did my nose and 3 types of facial contouring all at once. Even after waking up from anesthesia, I didn’t have any particular pain; I just remember it being so hard to breathe because of the nosebleed. But that only lasted until day 3, and after that, I took my medication properly, followed only what the doctor told me to do, and rested, so I recovered quickly. I’m the type whose swelling doesn’t go down easily, so I kept walking around even on hot days to reduce the swelling. It definitely felt hard back then, but now I don’t even really remember how hard it was. I also remember that the inside of my mouth had no sensation, as if it had been coated with cement, and food kept getting stuck in the sutured areas inside my mouth, which was uncomfortable, but now it’s completely fine. I feel like my sensation has returned 100%, and maybe because my chin was advanced, I still feel a slight pulling sensation, but there is nothing that bothers me or feels uncomfortable in daily life, so at least I don’t think I’ll have to go back to the hospital because of facial contouring side effects anymore. If anything, more than the contouring I had worried about, the nasal tip felt slightly crooked. Since it was a contouring-specialist hospital, maybe I made a hasty choice, but fortunately there was no functional problem, and if I looked only at the shape of the nose itself, the result wasn’t bad. For the time being, I thought I should wait until all the swelling went down before judging. On the day I went for my 1-year follow-up, they said the crooked nose could be fixed with a simple procedure and tried to provide aftercare without an additional charge, but that day I even refused the Botox they were going to inject into my chin, which still had a little swelling left, and ran away saying I was scared of injections and would just wait for the swelling to go down. I wonder what state of mind gave me the courage back then to undergo such a terrifying surgery. But it’s no secret(?) that I came back to this community because I now want eye surgery. The changes I currently feel are that when I take photos, I now have a slim jawline I had never had before, bangs suit me well, and my face has become subtly more refined. I think there are certain faces that become dramatic with facial contouring. Honestly, I haven’t heard people say that my face became much smaller from contouring. But I do sometimes hear things like, “It looks like you lost weight,” or “You look prettier than before.” Maybe if I had been greedier and shaved down more bone, I might have gotten a smaller face, but I think that because I was less greedy, I saved on lifting costs for now. I still haven’t done any special aftercare so far (is it starting now?). Anyway, I know the limits of my face, and since I have to live with the changed face for the rest of my life, I decided to be satisfied here. If any side effect suddenly appears, I’ll come back to report it. I don’t know if a post like this will be helpful, but I hope everyone has successful plastic surgery!
