I already had a thin double eyelid, but I had a lot of eyelid fat and my eyes themselves were small, so they looked sleepy Because of that, people around me were always saying things like I looked sleepy, looked tired, or asking if I didn’t sleep the night before.... And my eye style itself was nothing like the eyes I wanted, so to make my double eyelids more defined, I went around to consultations and ended up getting eye surgery! When I was looking into clinics, I focused on places where the doctor had good experience and where they properly found a line that suited my face. I also didn’t really like places that did surgery in an overly dramatic, obvious-looking way, so I narrowed my list down to places known for doing natural-looking work. When I went to the consultation at Saegim, the doctor explained things slowly and in detail, and designed the line carefully according to my opinions, so I liked it the most and decided to have surgery there! When everyone goes around to consultations, there are places where you think, hmm.. I’m not really sure about this place? and places where you feel certain that if you get surgery here, it’ll come out really pretty. For me, this place strongly felt like the latter.
Right after surgery > I had partial incision double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction + fat removal together. Right afterward, my eyes looked so swollen they were almost like sausages lol I think I could only open my eyes about halfway. I couldn’t see bruising at that time, but there was redness around my eyes and my vision looked slightly blurry, so the way home was a bit hard Double eyelid surgery is common, so people say it’s okay.. but still, if there’s someone who can come pick you up, I think that would be better
Week 1 > For me, the swelling was worst on days 2-3. Bruising also appeared then, and maybe because I had fat removal done too, yellow bruising appeared around my upper eyelids. Somehow.. I got a little used to the swelling, but because of the bruising, I looked like a kid who had gotten hurt lol The line still looked a bit thick up to this point, so I just hoped the swelling would go down quickly.
Week 2 > Most of the major swelling was almost gone by now! When I smiled or opened my eyes wide, I still felt a pulling sensation, but once all the bruising faded too, I definitely looked normal haha From this point on, I felt like I just needed to wait for the swelling to go down more.
One month > Aside from a little residual swelling, the double eyelids had almost stabilized. At this point, I didn’t wear a hat or mask at all, and I could go about daily life comfortably. I suddenly got interested in makeup, so I bought a bunch of things at Olive Young too lol Looking at the post-surgery photos, there is still some residual swelling, but the asymmetry of the lines on both eyes is well balanced, and my eyes look much more open than before, so I think I like them a lot more. Before, my eyelashes would sometimes poke my eyes, so I couldn’t even do makeup well, but now I’m searching YouTube for how to do eye makeup and learning little by little haha Later, when the residual swelling is completely gone, I’ll post how it looks with makeup too if I get the chance >..<
