I originally didn’t have completely monolid eyes; I had thin inner double eyelids, but my eyes looked a bit plain overall. Even with makeup, they didn’t look very defined, and I was always disappointed that my eyes came out looking blurry in photos.. So I went to consultations for eye surgery at a few places, and I didn’t want too dramatic of a change, just a naturally clearer look? That’s what I wanted. I had consultations at several places, but this plastic surgery clinic’s consultation resonated with me the most. I liked that the director first asked what kind of look I wanted and then explained things based on that. Also, my under-eye area looked hollow and tired, so they said it would be good to do under-eye fat repositioning together, so I proceeded with both. They said this place limits the number of surgeries per day, and maybe because of that, the hospital atmosphere wasn’t chaotic and was rather calm, and it felt like the process was tailored to me. (I remember that even on the day of surgery, the director spent quite a long time designing the line.) In the early stage after surgery, it naturally felt a little awkward because of swelling, but after 1–2 months, it gradually became more natural. I’m now 4 months post-op, and I’ve moved away from that inner-double-eyelid look, so my eyes definitely look clearer. And doing under-eye fat repositioning together turned out to be more satisfying than I expected!! In the past, I had heard people say I looked a little tired, but now my under-eye area looks much cleaner, so my impression feels a bit brighter. People around me most often say it doesn’t look very obvious that I had surgery. Still, when I look at old photos, there’s quite a difference in how defined my eyes look. Maybe because it’s a one-doctor clinic, consultations and follow-up checks felt relatively thorough, and when I asked questions, the feedback was pretty good too, so that part wasn’t bad either. It’s not completely finished yet, and they say it will settle more, but so far I’m living with overall satisfaction~ I feel like even making the eye impression just a little clearer can change the overall vibe quite a lot, so if you’re thinking about it, getting a consultation doesn’t seem like a bad idea!
