Nose Re-Surgery

3 months and 2 weeks after complete nose implant removal

Hi everyone~! I used to check in to this community every day, but now I only come by occasionally when I think of it.. I thought it might be even a little helpful to everyone, so I’m thinking of writing reviews from time to time until the 1-year mark. My operated nose had 3 mm silicone + ear cartilage in the nasal tip for 10 years. The main reasons for removal were the foreign body sensation and bruising on the nasal bridge. (It turned out the silicone had been pressing on the bone and caused severe erosion) I had complete removal, including the capsule, through an open columellar incision + nasal tip cartilage repositioning! First of all, after removal, I don’t know if I’m just insensitive, but aside from it looking slightly lifted in the early period, I don’t think I really felt a strong contraction phase.. Or maybe I’m in the contraction phase now and just don’t realize it The nasal tip is still a bit firm, and I can very slightly do a pig nose or press it from the front, but it hurts. It feels similar to the firmness + softness of my operated nose when ear cartilage was inside I don’t know when it’ll become completely soft.... I could do this even with my operated nose, but the sides move freely, and I’m blowing my nose comfortably and picking it well too lol For now, the incision scar is only white if you look closely, and the nasal tip shape and height are similar to my operated nose. After surgery, one side of my nose looked like it had gone up more, but it turns out my operated nose was even more uneven, and I think it’s mostly just that my face is asymmetrical. I think I was looking at only my nose after removal, so I noticed it sensitively~ And after removal, the middle part of my columella seems to protrude veeeery slightly, and that’s kind of not great I still need to be careful until 6 months, but I’m touching my nose, squeezing sebum, and pressing it. Right after removal, the inside of my nose was also very swollen, and on top of that I got the flu, so I had a runny and stuffy nose, but after a little time passed, my nose opened up clearly and became comfortable. There’s no foreign body sensation or bruising, and I like that it looks natural. People around me don’t really notice, but a sharp-eyed friend noticed and said they thought I had revision rhinoplasty. They said my nose looks better now and makes me look younger. Sometimes I miss my operated nose that looked more defined, but now I’m older, and a youthful + cute look has become my goal, so I just like this cute nose,, And after removal, the skin from my nasal bridge to the inner corners of my eyes looks like it lost elasticity and is very slightly wrinkly After rhinoplasty, my lacrimal caruncle was clearly visible at the inner corners of my eyes, like after epicanthoplasty, but after removal, the lacrimal caruncle improved very slightly, and there was a subtle change in my impression. (Only I would notice it, basically.) I rambled on without much order but for everyone planning removal or who recently had removal, please use this as a reference~! In the photo, the left is my operated nose and the right is my nose after removal.
