I have what people call close-set-looking eyes, so I was always stressed that my eyes looked stuffy and closed off. The outer corners of my eyes looked blocked, which gave a cramped impression, and because there was little scleral exposure, my eyes looked small. So I decided to get lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty, and I’m now 1 month post-op after getting lower lateral canthoplasty at a plastic surgery clinic!
The reason I decided to have surgery there was because Director Kim Jae-yoon seemed to create a naturally opened look that lowers downward without a ㄷ-shaped corner, giving a wide, refreshed feeling. Now it turned out exactly the way I wanted, so I’m satisfied! People around me keep saying my impression looks much softer. Since the outer corners are definitely opened up, my eyes look more refreshed, and it’s so convenient that I don’t have to apply heavy outer-corner eyeshadow when doing makeup. I really think the horizontal length has been extended.
At first I was a little worried because of conjunctival edema, but after receiving clinic care and letting time pass, it went down quickly. The scars are barely noticeable too, so I’m very satisfied. I think it’s great that I can be this satisfied with just canthoplasty.
