Nose Surgery Reviews

I worked really hard researching online and visiting clinics, and finally got my nose surgery,,,,

I’m planning to leave a 1-month review here so I can look back on it later, around when I’m about one year post-op! For reference, maybe because I live in Gyeonggi-do, going around to clinics was soooo exhausting,, and since I kept going back and forth around Sinnonhyeon, Gangnam, and Apgujeong, it was physically and mentally draining. Still, compared with other surgeries, nose surgery seems to have a lot of people getting revision surgery, and I felt like if I didn’t research properly and just went ahead with surgery, I’d be left with massive regret, so I chose really carefully. Also, at first I drove myself to consultations, but I don’t recommend it,,^^ Some places have free parking, but that’s beside the point,, first of all, traffic is so bad and getting the car out is hard too, so everyone should use public transportation,, anyway,,

Consultations >> I visited 4 clinics in person Rather than something too natural, I wanted my nose to have a moderate presence and make my facial features look more defined, so I looked around in the refined-to-glamorous style range. Maybe because of that, most places recommended costal cartilage. But honestly, I had expected that to some extent, so I was going around like okay okay, and then I went for a consultation at Louvre. Surprisingly, they didn’t recommend costal cartilage and said surgery could be done with just septal cartilage and ear cartilage, so I was surprised,, They didn’t say I absolutely had to do it this way; they explained two methods: 1. using silicone + ear cartilage + septal cartilage, and 2. using silicone + septal cartilage + autologous costal cartilage!! Instead, they said that with option 1, septal extension would be done together, and with option 2, it could be made higher than the height I wanted. After thinking about it, I decided to go with option 1.

Surgery >> I had it around early to mid-January, and the main focus was correcting my bulbous nose The director said the reason my nose didn’t look slim was largely because of the bulbous nose. So when designing it, they focused the most on correcting the bulbous nose, and with septal extension, they projected the nasal tip further forward while balancing the overall nose proportions. Honestly, maybe because I had such high expectations for my nose, during the daytime when I was moving around, I thought the recovery itself was okay,,,? But the real part was right before falling asleep,,,, breathing felt a bit stuffy, and once I lay down, I wasn’t moving, so I became even more aware of my nose lol,, So in the beginning I woke up several times, and all I could think about was wanting to get the cotton and splint removed quickly,, I do have a photo I took with the splint on at that time, but you can’t really see it well and I was embarrassed to upload it, so I left it out;;

Week 2 >> The shape of my nose gradually started becoming easier to see I’ve seen some people here say their nostrils became very visible after nose surgery, but maybe because I also had septal extension, I didn’t have that! I also had yellow bruising, but it all went away before week 2. I felt swelling, like my nose felt puffy, but well,, compared with when I had the splint on, daily life was much more comfortable, so it wasn’t that hard! Most of all, when viewed from the front, the bulbous-nose look had disappeared a lot They say there’s still a long way to go for recovery, but,, at 2 weeks, I was seriously riding such a high,,,

1 month >> The period when I understand why people say to wait it out,, As I said earlier, even at week 2 I was the kind of human who thought, “Isn’t this okay? Am I recovering fast?” So by the 1-month mark, the swelling had definitely gone down a lot, and it was much better,, But when I touch the nasal tip, it still feels firm, and when I smile, it still feels slightly awkward,, lolol But they said this will gradually get better with time, so I’m waiting! They say that after nose surgery, it’s really hard to be satisfied with the front view more than the side view, but for me, overall, my facial proportions look better too,, The swelling hasn’t completely gone down yet, so I’ll have to keep waiting it out, but how does my recovery look to everyone,,?? If I recover just like this, could I be done with nose surgery??? ><!!!
