13 years ago, I had my first rhinoplasty using silicone for the nasal bridge and septal cartilage. I had the surgery in my early 20s without thinking it through enough, but at the time, I was fairly satisfied.
However, as time passed, my nasal line gradually became lower, and from the front, the area from my alae to my columella looked spread out, making my nose look flat overall. In the end, I decided to have revision surgery.
I thought revision surgery needed especially careful consideration, so while looking into several clinics, I booked a consultation because the chief director personally handles everything from consultation to surgery and aftercare, and checks the progress for up to 6 months.
During the consultation, Director Kim Hyun-joo looked at the condition of my nose and explained that using autologous costal cartilage would be necessary. She said it was not simply a matter of increasing the height, but a situation where the collapsed structure needed to be rebuilt. She suggested correcting my pinched nose, adjusting the nasolabial angle, and reducing the alar width together!
She accurately pointed out the problems with my nose and explained the direction for improvement in detail, so my anxiety about the surgery was greatly reduced!
After surgery, in the recovery room, I had a somewhat hard time for about an hour due to thirst and muscle aches, but whenever I called, the staff responded quickly, so I felt reassured.. The director told me the surgery went well, which put me at ease, and I was able to go home without significant pain and focus on recovery!
I’m still recovering, but I’m satisfied as I see the areas I had been concerned about improving!!
