This time I had non-incisional epicanthoplasty and Noseca rhinoplasty at **ㅊㄷㅂㅇㅇ**. ㅊㄷㅂ doesn’t have many reviews to begin with, and negative reviews stood out more than satisfied ones, saying things like they were unfriendly, they didn’t explain the surgery in detail, there were no people at the clinic and there was a reason for that, so I was worried. + I hate unfriendly service, so I went mentally prepared. Still, since I cared most about a natural image + fast recovery + no scars, after looking into it I thought ㅊㄷㅂ might suit me well. (I also had consultations at other clinics, but they recommended incisions, saying there would only be a change if I had incisions, and only consulted that way.)
1️⃣ Reservation / Waiting I made a reservation through Naver and went. I waited a little over 30 minutes. They said a Naver reservation = not a confirmed clinic appointment. If you call once more to confirm the time before visiting, I think you could receive the consultation without waiting. Because I wanted to set the date (I wanted it before a period with many holidays), I put down a 400,000 won deposit and confirmed it right away on the consultation day. (They said the deposit is non-refundable.)
2️⃣ Consultation review (consultation fee: 22,000 won) I first had a short consultation with the consultant, then went to the director’s office for the consultation. With the consultant, it felt like I told her everything about the look I wanted. With the director, it felt like I was hearing whether that was possible on my face with the surgeries done here.
The director spoke quickly, had a certain tone, and tended to speak a bit quietly. (I answered well during the consultation, but there were many parts I didn’t catch. Still, if I was curious about something, I persistently asked. He answered everything.) The consultant listened next to the director like an interpreter, diligently taking notes on the chart. During the follow-up consultation with the consultant, I heard the interpreted explanation and received the cost information. Eyes (Mongolian fold removal) 2.10 million won Nose (Noseca) 2.75 million won
At other clinic consultations, there were many discount details like a discount if booking the same day, a discount if not designating the director, a discount if agreeing to photos, so I asked about it, and they said they don’t have that here. The answer I got was that it’s because the consultant doesn’t receive incentives. In the end, I received 110,000 won off each on the condition that I would write a review.
3️⃣ Surgery day / Before surgery On the day of surgery, I had another consultation with the director + he predicted(?) the surgical result. He checked once again what I wanted, and very honestly told me that correction up to certain parts would not be possible. Because I preferred a natural change over a dramatic change, I liked that he told me once more.
During the consultation with the consultant, I brought screenshots of bad reviews and asked in detail, “What is this about?” I had considered not asking because the question could be rude and might upset them, but since it was the same surgery I was having and something going into my body, I thought I had to confirm what happened. I heard an explanation of what kind of case it was, and they had me sign each consent form.
They took clinic-use before photos and videos, then guided me to the operating room. The operating room didn’t feel extremely cold or scary; it felt more like a slightly large private procedure room. Around 2:30, I started preparing for surgery with 2 nurses. They didn’t make small talk to help me relax. They just quietly did what they had to do. Actually, I was so tired that day that I wished I could sleep deeply under sedation and wake up with it all finished. (I had been told in advance it would be local + sedation anesthesia.) I told them I didn’t want to wake up in the middle, and they answered that I would receive it in a comfortable state with sedatives administered, not in a completely asleep state.
4️⃣ During surgery They started with the right eye. I was fully conscious. With local anesthesia, I got an anesthetic injection for about 5 seconds, like getting glabella Botox. After the anesthetic injection, I could hear sounds, but there was no pain. In between, the director said, “Please open your eyes. Look here,” to check. The nurse also checked together. After finishing the right side, the left side was done the same way. It felt like one eye took over 30 minutes.
I think I had the nose done while half-awake and half-asleep. In between, I wanted to say it hurt, but I probably said it in a dream. For the nose, there was no checking process in the middle. After the surgery, while I was conscious, they showed me a mirror and let me check. It had really changed!!!
When it ended, it was 5:00. (When I asked beforehand, they said everything would be done around 4, but it took an hour longer.)
5️⃣ After surgery I moved with the nurse and took photos immediately after surgery. The consultant compared the before and after photos and explained the changed parts. Even immediately after, because there was no cotton or tape, comparison was possible, and bruising and swelling were not severe. I was satisfied!!! They told me to drink a cup of warm water and rest before leaving, but I felt okay, so I immediately received the prescription, got the date for stitch removal, and left.
6️⃣ Aftercare I had surgery on Friday, and then it was the weekend, Saturday and Sunday (closed), and Monday (public holiday), but I received a text from the clinic number I had originally been contacted from (just a mobile phone number). It said to contact them if I had any questions during the holiday period. I thought, “They provide aftercare decently too, so why are the reviews bad?” + While resting, I ended up having a question..
While applying ointment inside my nostril, after a blood scab fell off, I saw a thick white thread in my left nostril. It definitely wasn’t a stitch, and it wasn’t hard. Since it was Sunday, I debated, then sent a text asking if it was okay that something like this was visible inside my nose. + They asked for a photo, so I sent it too. They said it seemed like I would need to come in, and we set a visit time. (This is the current situation up to now.)
✅ Conclusion 1. I understood why reviews said, “Why are there so few people?” It can’t really be helped. As the clinic advertises, it is a one-doctor clinic, and it doesn’t seem to have many staff members. They said they try to do only 2 surgeries a day when possible. So there can’t help but be fewer people receiving consultations and surgeries. (When I came out after my surgery, one new person was in consultation and had confirmed surgery and was paying.) 2. Reviews saying the director is unfriendly are a triangle. He didn’t seem to want good feedback from every customer. He really only focuses on the face and says only what he needs to say. And he speaks honestly. Compared with other clinics, I don’t think you should expect friendliness from the director. 3. They did it well according to the surgical consultation. The result doesn’t come out strange. People who pursue naturalness would likely be satisfied with this place. 4. The price is on the expensive side. It also seems like there aren’t many discounts or events. Since the director seems to have pride in his technique, well.... I think you just have no choice but to pay. 5. I thought the aftercare was okay, but because of the unexpected thread in my nostril, I think I’ll need to keep watching it.
