I wrote 2,500 characters and hit complete, but it disappeared, so I’m mad.. I had breast revision surgery this morning and it took about two and a half hours. Over ten years ago, I had Allergan teardrop textured implants placed through the armpit. No rupture, no capsular contracture. Size 75E / 80D. My original breasts were a full A to about a B. Since it had been a long time, they had dropped because of the weight and gravity, and the lower breast tissue became thin. The inframammary fold was slightly asymmetric, but I didn’t care much. Both sides were slightly different in size, but natural breasts are all like that too, so I didn’t mind. Honestly, I didn’t really need to do it, but I replaced them because of the feel. I have some fat, so the upper and inner middle part of my breasts was very soft, but when I lay down, the bottom part of the teardrop implant felt firm, so I had revision because of that. When lying flat on my back and touching them, it was 100% obvious, so I always slept only on my side with my boyfriend. That was really uncomfortable because he didn’t know they were surgically augmented breasts. I went with the implant size the doctor recommended. Mentor Xtra. Because I care a lot about how they feel, honestly I wanted to go bigger, but I think you should do what the doctor says. As someone who has already had surgery,, if you only follow your greed and put in big ones, it really shows. It’s better to choose an appropriate size. For thin people with pretty figures, if you just go as big as possible, it looks good for the first few years, but over the years the swelling goes down, they settle, and once they feel tightly attached to your chest, the implants gradually start dropping because of gravity, and the lower breast gets thinner and thinner. So they really start to show, and even if you lose weight, the breasts lose fat first, so the implants become more and more visible. After I lost more than 5 kg, the breast fat decreased and they started to look obvious. Even though I had a fair amount of breast fat, as a long time passed, they sagged downward and the lower breast became thin. So I changed to soft Mentor Xtra,, After living with them, I ended up prioritizing feel above all else. Because of concerns about capsular contracture with revision surgery, I did think about Motiva for a while, but the doctor said that if the capsule is completely removed, the chance of contracture is almost none, and recommended Mentor Xtra if feel is the priority, so I went for it. I also thought it would be okay because operating rooms aren’t dirty like in the old days, and things have advanced much more. An acquaintance is 1 year post-op with Motiva and said they still feel firm, so I took that into consideration too. Of course, since they’re expensive, they’ll probably soften someday with time, but I can’t wait for that. Anyway, as soon as I came out of surgery today, I got compression and came to the recovery room. I tried not to sleep so I could wake up from general anesthesia. The nurses also woke me up. There was almost no pain, but I was out of it, sleepy, and my chest felt tight, so if 10 is the worst, about a 2? And now it’s evening, and maybe because I have the pain-control pump in, I feel totally fine. The drains are filling little by little. I hope the pain after removing the pain-control pump tomorrow is manageable with medicine. Probably unlike before, since it was through the inframammary incision, it should hurt less, and since the breast pocket had already been made, I think it hurts even less. There’s nothing wrong with moving my arms, but I shouldn’t lift them or put force into them. I shouldn’t even open a heavy door by pushing it with my arms. They said a blood vessel could burst or something? Anyway, the kind operating-room nurse told me.
