My nose shape isn’t that bad, but it’s small and a bit low. I don’t have any major dissatisfaction with the shape itself, but I do have a desire for it to be just slightly higher. I don’t want silicone, and I want it to feel like something got prettier, to the point that people wouldn’t know unless I said so. I prefer a straight nasal bridge, not a scooped or semi-scooped line.
I had only been thinking about wanting it for over a year, but I suddenly got the urge at dawn and requested consultations at 4 places. They were all available that same week or the following week. All of them took CT scans. Clinics 3 and 4 also showed a 3D face screen? or something like that. They all said my nasal bridge wasn’t extremely low, so non-implant surgery would be possible. They said I had a slight hump.
1. ㄷㄹ Weekend consultation fee is 10,000 won. Both the consultant and the director consulted with me kindly and thoroughly. So this is the place I feel most drawn to. It was my first consultation, so I went without thinking of questions and couldn’t ask much. If septal cartilage is insufficient, they may use ear cartilage. Fixed price 3.5 million won, 3.3 million won if I write a review. The consultant said many people who want a natural result like me come there, and she seemed confident about non-implant surgery.
2. ㅎㅌ I was only looking for single-director clinics, but this place had many reviews, so I went. There are 2 doctors for rhinoplasty. I didn’t have a specific director in mind, but the consultant said Director ㅂㅈㅇ matched the style I wanted, so I had a consultation with him. But here, they said I needed columella correction, nasolabial angle correction, and bulbous nose correction with removal of alar fat... each of these added to the cost one by one. Because of this, I asked at other clinics, and elsewhere they said the columella can be handled during surgery by tying the cartilage a bit downward, the nasolabial angle corrects itself, and the bulbous nose improves once the nose is raised. If writing a review, 2.5 million won. If additional ear cartilage is used, was it 500,000 won extra? But they spoke as if they would take that off. In terms of price, it was the cheapest among the places I consulted, so the price is attractive, but I didn’t get a good feeling ㅠ
3. ㄷㅎㄷ Single-director clinic. Someone said the director has an admirable medical philosophy and pursues beauty that isn’t excessive, so I went. Here, they said my nose needs osteotomy. They also said that if there isn’t enough material during surgery, donated costal cartilage may be used. During the consultant consultation, they said if donated costal cartilage is used, after waking up from anesthesia there would be an additional 1 million won. It was the most expensive of the places I consulted: 4.7 million won, 4 million won if writing a review. The consultant asked where all the other places I had consultations were, and said they were the most confident among them. If I had a lot of money, I’d want to do it here, but I gave up because of the cost.
4. ㅇㅇㅇ Single-director clinic. The consultant accurately guessed and explained exactly what I was thinking. But by my standards, the consultant’s nose looked like a botched nose, so I’m a bit hesitant. They said the director here recommends autologous costal cartilage even for a first surgery. If septal cartilage is insufficient, then autologous costal cartilage... I asked, what about ear cartilage? They said ear cartilage is curved and thin, and they use it mainly for revision surgery. They also said it would probably be pretty to put in just a very thin layer of silicone. If I dislike silicone, then autologous costal cartilage... They said that’s how they think a pretty nose would come out. I had never even considered autologous costal cartilage, but the director was firm and confident, so I’m conflicted. 3.4 million won, 3 million won with partial photo disclosure. Additional 1.5 million won if using autologous costal cartilage. Additional 500,000 won discount with full disclosure. I don’t feel confident about full disclosure, but 4.5 million won is too expensive by my standards. If I don’t use autologous costal cartilage, it’s 3 million won, but since the director strongly recommended it, I’m wondering if I should do it... The consultant confidently said the director is very meticulous, has a good sense, and has a good memory, so he remembers all his patients. They said AS is 2 years, and treatment? things like that are guaranteed for life, but I don’t remember well. This was the only place where the consultant, when ending the consultation, wrote the consultation details and cost on a business card and gave it to me.
Since I’m not trying to raise my nose dramatically, I feel like it would come out similarly wherever I go, but I’m torn between No. 1 and No. 4. Which would be better? How is autologous costal cartilage? ㅡㅜㅜ... More than the scar, I like exercising, so having to stop exercising for over a month bothers me, and the cost bothers me too... Online, people say autologous costal cartilage is the last-resort material, but the doctor said that is absolutely not true...
Please give me your opinions ㅠ If I’m going to do it, I honestly want to have surgery right away this week.
I wrote this here and there during breaks at work, so please understand if the post isn’t organized ㅜㅜ If there’s anything I shouldn’t have written, please let me know!!
