My double eyelid line had become lower and faint, so I went in for revision surgery! Since it was a revision surgery, I thought it would be best to have it done by a director with a long career and lots of experience, so I had the revision surgery at a plastic surgery clinic. Among the places I went for consultations, they understood my eyes the best, and I also liked the line they designed for me. It felt like it matched the look I was going for the most. I got an in-out line, and although I did consider a semi-out line because a lot of people seem to be doing that these days, what suited my eyes was an in-out line. They recommended natural adhesion revision double eyelid surgery + non-incisional ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty + upper canthoplasty, and even when I thought about it myself, they were procedures I needed, so I went ahead with the surgery as recommended. Since I was getting double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, and canthoplasty all together, I thought it would take a long time, but it didn’t, so it wasn’t burdensome. The swelling was actually less than during my first surgery, and maybe because I had ptosis correction and canthoplasty together, there was a little bruising. It took some time for everything to go down cleanly, but I kept managing it with warm/cold compresses whenever I could, so there weren’t any major issues. Now it has almost settled, so I go around wearing full eye makeup, and I’m definitely very satisfied because the line is clearer and my eyes look much more open. Double eyelid surgery is a procedure that many people get regardless of age or gender, so a lot of people seem to take it lightly, but I really think which director you have it done by is important. I hope everyone meets a director who suits them well and has a successful double eyelid surgery.
