Why is this happening to me After my primary surgery, I lived safely for about 15 years with no foreign-body reaction to the silicone. But because my face was hit in an accident, the silicone shifted out of place from the center of my nose, so I had it replaced. After the revision surgery, the swelling gradually went down until about one month, but then it suddenly swelled up, and the area between my eyebrows became swollen, making my forehead and nasal bridge look flat... When they tried to draw it out with a syringe the first time, nothing came out, but when I visited the hospital a second time, blood and a mucus-like fluid (a dark foundation-like color) were drawn out with a syringe... The director said it seems like a foreign-body reaction to the silicone and that we should remove it immediately. Can a foreign-body reaction suddenly develop like this? I never had this kind of problem after my primary surgery, so I’m devastated.. The sense of loss and the cost after removing it.. And I can’t give up on the shape, so I feel like I’ll try another revision with silicone again, but how am I supposed to go around for hospital consultations again...
