I had photos taken with CT and had a consultation. The director said they take a conservative approach to the nasal valve, and suggested only resolving the deviated nasal septum. For cosmetic surgery, they said they would check the septal cartilage and that the amount may be insufficient, so they suggested using donated costal cartilage. I only went to have my nose evaluated, but they said I have a retruded chin and recommended a silicone chin implant. I hadn’t thought about it, but I do think it might be good if I get it done.
Because I’m worried about side effects from donated costal cartilage, I asked them to build up the nasal tip with septal cartilage. They said if there isn’t enough, donated costal cartilage might be used, and then the price would go up.
