My mom was originally the type with a lot of under-eye fat protrusion. But honestly, since I kept living with her, I got used to it and didn’t pay much attention to it..... Recently, my mom brought up the topic of plastic surgery. At first I simply thought, is it menopause? But then I realized, ah, my mom is a woman too. Over about three months, I went around to consultations with her, and I had her get lower blepharoplasty at the place she wanted. On the day of surgery, she seemed calmer than I expected? It was done under sedation, and I think it took a little over an hour. When she came out after it was over, she wasn’t as swollen as I expected, but she said the area under her eyes felt heavy. She had some tearing, and her vision was a little uncomfortable because of the taping, but she said it wasn’t painful enough to call it really painful. After 2 weeks, the major swelling went down, and by one month I could feel that her impression looked different. Now the scar has improved too, and it’s only visible if you look closely, so with makeup you can’t tell at all. The director at the clinic really took great care of her.. If it’s a case like my mom’s, where the under-eye fat is clearly protruding even to the naked eye, satisfaction with lower blepharoplasty will probably be high. If it’s a pigmentation issue, it might not be as much as expected..! Everyone, I hope you research carefully and succeed with filial cosmetic surgery for your parents.
