Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

Square jaw review, completely satisfied!!

Hello! I finally had square jaw + chin surgery, and before I knew it, it has already been 3 weeks, so I’m leaving a review. Why I decided to have surgery I was always stressed because my lower face overall felt bulky and heavy. Especially from the front, my chin had a blunt U-shape, and I hated how it made the lower face look weighted down. But since I have very little facial fat, it would have been hard to see results with procedures, so I decided on surgery. I went around to about 3 hospitals for consultations. The first two mostly explained the diagonal-angle effect rather than the frontal effect, so I strongly felt like my face would end up looking longer.. I didn’t want a dog-jaw look that would make my face look long, and I wanted to preserve the angle under the jaw to some extent while definitely seeing an effect from the front. This was the only place that said it would be better not to cut too much of the submandibular angle, which was similar to what I was thinking. They also explained in the most detail that for the frontal effect, it was not about adjusting the width of the square jaw, but rather adjusting the width of the chin. Since I wasn’t doing my cheekbones, I had thought that adjusting the square jaw width would make my cheeks look more hollow, and because the director had similar thoughts, I think that made me trust them. (I liked the director’s Instagram where they posted before-and-after CT photos, so I went for a consultation.) The director was very calm, and they looked carefully at the points I considered important, so I decided to have surgery right after the consultation. During my one-day hospitalization, the nurses checked my blood drainage bag every 30 minutes throughout the night and took very attentive care of me. Thanks to them, I recovered and was discharged without much difficulty. It has now been exactly 3 weeks since the surgery! Maybe because the swelling is going down from top to bottom, my cheek area is still slightly puffy like a squirrel, and the deep cheek area and under-chin fat area are also swollen. Even so, I can clearly feel that my chin has become much slimmer than before. I saw my post-op CT photos, and just as I wanted, the cortical bone reduction of my chin and the blunt areas were cut very slimly and nicely. I really think I made the right choice having it done at this plastic surgery clinic haha. I’m excited because I think it will look much slimmer once all the swelling goes down!
