I had written reviews from the day of surgery, D+0 (01.30), through D+5! Now that I’m almost at week 2, I wanted to leave what I’ve felt during this time~
D+6~D+8 My condition improved a lot, and the swelling went down a lot too. I had surgery on Friday, 1/30, and I got my cheekbone stitches removed on Saturday, 2/7 (D+8). Especially starting from Friday, the day before getting the cheekbone stitches removed, my eyes went back to my original eyes. They were still swollen, but I finally looked human again! Looking closely again at the photos I took around this time, there actually is a slight difference in the swelling of my upper-lip “dyu.” My upper lip was so swollen that with the “dyu” lip, how should I put it, my upper mouth was sticking out like some kind of bird’s beak. I personally thought I looked like that bald yokai, you know, the hair-loss yokai? The one from Inuyasha... I thought I resembled that. And I naturally have a recessed chin, but because my upper lip was swollen and looked protruded, my recessed chin showed so clearly lololol Still, from this point the swelling went down a lot and I looked more human, so I was excited and took a lot of photos, but when I look at photos my boyfriend took for me, my face was still like a steamed bun then too lol And during this period, that temple area? Around the temporalis muscle also seemed a bit more swollen than now, because that area hurt.
D+9~D+12 From this point, I felt like I could go to work if I wore a mask! Overall, it felt like the swelling had moved downward, so my face had a square-square look, and it looked much more saggy than my original jawline.. lol The area around my mouth to lower face was very swollen. If I took the mask off, it showed, and if I wore the mask, it didn’t. I went to work today, and if I didn’t say anything first, people didn’t know. The inconvenient things at work were, first: 1. Since my mouth doesn’t open fully, there are limits when ordering lunch 2. My pronunciation became slurred 3. The stitches are removed, but I still have Steri-Strips on, so I have to work hard to hide them with my hair 4. It’s hard to laugh - because the stitches inside my mouth haven’t been removed, I can’t smile like usual These points? Other than that, if you just have a mask, going to work is possible! My condition is good too. Today, I also brought photos... I took them to send to acquaintances and mosaicked them. After day 8, I’ve been too lazy to take photos, but looking at my cheekbones now... the area near the temples, or should I call it the rear cheekbones, sticks out a bit, but I can see that my 45-degree cheekbones have become smooth. But even right before surgery, the director told me that my rear cheekbones? the width of my natural facial bones was a bit large, so this was something I knew. When I press it, it feels a little plump.. but still, I think a lot of the swelling has gone down! I hope it decreases more~ My facial width didn’t reduce as much as I expected (), but my face shape was seriously super bumpy before, and now it has become quite smooth~~~~ My mom had originally opposed the surgery, but I begged her and she allowed it. As she saw the swelling gradually go down, she said it had gotten smooth and that money really is good lololol I want to quickly get the stitches inside my mouth removed too and brush my teeth as much as I want~~ I hope my review helps!
