During my first surgery, I really, really wanted bulbous nose correction, but unlike my aesthetic preference, they only made my nasal bridge higher, so the overall proportions were a total mess. My nose still looked bulbous. Every time people around me asked why it didn’t look much better even though I had nose surgery, I got insanely stressed.. It honestly felt like I paid money just to end up with mental distress, so all I felt was regret. People here who have had a failed nose surgery before can probably relate, but if I had to choose between the burden of revision surgery vs. living with my current nose forever, wouldn’t most people choose the former right away.. I also had so many regrets about my nose that I eventually got revision surgery, and while looking into it, I realized all over again how truly clueless I had been when I got my first surgery lol Honestly, at first I didn’t really get a positive feeling from this clinic. First of all, there were too many people.. and there was quite a bit of waiting, so I wondered if this place wouldn’t work out either. But during the consultation with the director, my somewhat negative thoughts gradually started to change. Since it was revision surgery, there are quite a few clinics that take CT scans, but here, after taking the CT, they directly told me about the size of my nasal septum, and they ran virtual simulations several times to see what kind of nasal bridge and nasal tip would suit me. Seeing that made me understand why the wait took so long.. lol The director was more serious than I was about shaping my nose. But my nasal septum was only 2 cm, so they said septal extension would be possible only if costal cartilage was used together. We decided to use donated rib cartilage together, and they said the bulbous nose would be corrected better if cartilage tying was done as well, so I decided to proceed that way. For everyone who wants to know their exact nose condition, I really recommend getting a consultation with Director Oh Seung-il. After the nose surgery, there was still some waiting every time I went, and although I got swelling laser treatment while waiting, that part didn’t get better lol But the director checked my progress extremely thoroughly, and every time I went, they took photos and reviewed the changes. It was bothersome but (it took a lot of time..), still, seeing that they continued checking me like this after surgery without doing it half-heartedly made me feel relieved that at least this didn’t seem like a clinic that just neglects patients. Now the bulbous nose correction turned out well, and overall my nose looks slimmer, so it doesn’t look big anymore and I really like it.. I’m finally hearing people around me say that it was good I got my nose done After going through revision surgery, I learned that nose proportions, shape, and nasal bridge height are all important..
