One-Month Review After Revision Surgery for a Short, Low Nose

Before my revision rhinoplasty, my nostril asymmetry was severe, my glabella area was high, and my nasal tip was low, so I decided to have revision surgery because I wanted to improve the overall shape of my nasal bridge. I found out about RU Plastic Surgery through a cosmetic surgery community, and since it was a revision surgery, I wanted to be careful, so I visited several clinics for consultations. Among them, I felt that Director Kim Hyun-joo’s surgical plan and results best matched the look I wanted, so I made a reservation. After a thorough consultation with Director Kim Hyun-joo, we decided to proceed with surgery by shaving down the existing AlloDerm in the glabella area of the nasal bridge and covering it with scalp fascia, and for the nasal tip, using autologous costal cartilage to lower the columella, correct the nasolabial angle, and improve nostril asymmetry. After surgery, I only had a small bruise on the nasal bridge and there was almost no swelling. I think it was probably because the director’s surgical skill is good. So there wasn’t anything difficult about the other parts, but for me, the pain from the autologous costal cartilage site lasted quite a long time. I think this varies from person to person. Overall, the surgery came out well in the nose shape I wanted. The nostril asymmetry improved to some extent, and the nasal tip drops nicely, so I’m satisfied. During the consultation right before surgery, I told the director about the nose shape I wanted and my concerns, and she understood exactly what I meant and performed the surgery accordingly haha I also liked that the postoperative care was meticulous, and the desk staff were always kind and welcomed me with smiles, so I felt good every time I visited.
