Nose Surgery Reviews

Review of revision rhinoplasty that restored both function and aesthetics at GNG Hospital

A few years ago, I had functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty at another hospital, but over time my nose gradually became more tilted and my nasal obstruction became really severe The blockage was especially bad on the right side, so it was hard even when I was trying to fall asleep, and it was even more miserable during seasonal changes. My nasal bridge looked tilted, and the area between my eyebrows looked like an Avatar character, so I was really stressed.

I had consultations at several hospitals but couldn’t find one I really liked, then through a recommendation from an acquaintance, I ended up having a consultation at GNG Hospital.

Director Lee Sung-hoon examined the condition of my nose and explained that my nasal bridge needed to be replaced with a customized implant, and that my nasal tip would require autologous costal cartilage and osteotomy. For the functional issues, after a CT scan, he said I would need correction of a deviated septum, nasal valve reconstruction, and rhinitis surgery together.

Also, to improve the impression around the glabella area, they said it would be good to do forehead-glabella fat grafting as well, and I had this part done by Director Kim Sun-hong.

Overall, the explanations were clear without feeling like they were recommending unnecessary treatment, so I trusted them and decided to go ahead with the surgery.

After surgery, once the splint was removed, my nasal bridge had settled naturally, and the Avatar-like look between my eyebrows had also improved a lot.

Most of all, breathing became more and more comfortable, and now I have no discomfort at all in daily life.

Since the result is satisfying both functionally and aesthetically, I really think I made the right choice of hospital!
