This is my first review in a community, posted exactly 3 years after the surgery. This is my first post, with absolutely no sponsorship, discount, or anything like that. In conclusion, it was an experience with both satisfying and unsatisfying parts mixed together.
I had this surgery in January 2023, so it has been exactly 3 years. It was a secondary correction of ptosis correction after 6 years, along with epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty, and it cost about 6 million KRW in total. Because it was a revision correction, there was no discount at all. Even considering that it was a revision, I simply had it done at an expensive clinic lol (The very first ptosis correction I had was in a loosened state.)
Satisfying parts 1. Epicanthoplasty: I had quite severe Mongolian folds, and they are all gone now (I deleted all the before photos, so they are not very visible in the photos lol) 2. Lateral canthoplasty: It still has not reattached 3. Ptosis correction: I no longer have discomfort now
Unsatisfying parts 1. Ptosis correction: When I first had surgery at the clinic, for one week I felt like my head was being pulled so tightly that I had a headache. So I anxiously searched YouTube dozens of times to see whether this was a natural phenomenon. As a result, because revision surgery had to be done before adhesions formed, at first the clinic talked about it as if it was not a big deal, but I still said I did not think this was right, so they proceeded with the revision surgery again for free. (For this part, it did not feel like the clinic really hated doing it, and I think if you feel uncomfortable, it is something the customer can get done by speaking up firmly. You know your own symptoms best.) After the revision surgery, I had no pulling sensation at all, so I think it was really a good decision to have the revision surgery.
2. Epicanthoplasty scar: There is a slight keloid-like scar, but the epicanthoplasty itself turned out in a shape I am satisfied with, and the Mongolian folds disappeared, so I do not pay much attention to it.
Having to open my eyes during surgery and things like that was a bit scary, but in conclusion, I think I received good surgery from someone with a good aesthetic sense. Even if I went back and had to do it again, I think I would still have it done by the same doctor! When I had my first surgery, my recovery was on the slower side too, so it took some time for everything to fully settle.
