About a year after my facial contouring surgery, I started wondering whether it would be okay to keep the pins in. I was worried that, while going about daily life in the future, they might be affected by an impact or cause inflammation, so I decided to have pin removal surgery because I thought removing them in advance would give me peace of mind. Once I actually made the decision, I felt unnecessarily nervous and had a lot of worries because it was still surgery. While receiving a consultation at Arc Plastic Surgery Clinic, a lot of that anxiety eased. From the consultation process onward, they explained everything calmly one by one, and they addressed the things I was curious about in detail, so I felt I could trust them. The staff were also kind from beginning to end, so my first impression of the hospital was good. I had especially seen many good reviews about the director, and after receiving the consultation in person, I could understand at least a little why there were so many such evaluations, and trust naturally developed. The inside of the hospital was generally clean and well organized, and the atmosphere was calm, so my tension before surgery eased a lot. It did not feel unnecessarily complicated, and I got the impression that it was a comfortable space. After the pin removal surgery, I expected there to be some swelling, but from immediately after surgery, the swelling was not as severe as I had thought, so I felt relieved. As time passed, recovery was on the faster side, and after about 1 to 2 weeks, more than 90% of the swelling had almost gone down. While going through the recovery process, the overall experience felt relatively smooth, to the point that I thought, “I was scared for no reason.” Now, my face after removing the pins feels much lighter than before, and I am doing well in daily life without discomfort. It has been about 2 weeks since removal, and because the hospital continues to pay attention and care for me even after surgery, I feel psychologically comfortable as well. Overall, it was a satisfying experience from consultation to surgery and recovery.
