Same-Day Review of Incision + Ptosis Correction + Fat Removal

-Consultation My eyes have very weak opening strength, and the skin on my eyelids is on the thicker side, so they said I should do an incisional double eyelid surgery together with ptosis correction. They said that if they set the line, the eyelid area could protrude a lot, so we should remove a little fat too. The distance between my eyes is on the wider side, so I could do an epicanthoplasty, but personally I didn’t want to, so I decided not to do that.-Surgery It was the first surgery slot in the morning, so I only skipped breakfast and went! For anesthesia, I chose 5 minutes of sedation anesthesia followed by local anesthesia around the eyes, and personally this was good. While I was groggy, I vaguely felt the local anesthesia being done, but I think it would have hurt if I hadn’t had sedation anesthesia The nurse told me it would hurt a bit when doing the ptosis correction, so I did prepare myself mentally, but it hurt more than I expected... It wasn’t pain I couldn’t tolerate, but I could feel pulling as they moved back and forth around the eye, and it stung too, so it was a slightly unpleasant pain. They checked by asking me to open my eyes from time to time, and they said my eye-opening strength was very weak... So I think it may have pulled more and hurt more because of that. This seems to vary from person to person! Other than that, there wasn’t anything very uncomfortable. Just occasionally a bit of a burning squid smell? The surgery took about 1 hour, and including disinfection and various preparations, it took about 1 hour and 30 minutes.- After surgery After it ended, I did a little cold compress in the recovery room and went straight home. There isn’t much direct pain from the surgical site, but I have a pulling sensation in my eyes, tearing, and blurred vision. I think I’ll have to keep watching these as time passes.
