I went to 7 places over one week, and this would be my first eye surgery. My eyes are asymmetrical because one side has multiple double-eyelid folds, so my top priority was making them symmetrical, and I consulted everywhere for an in-out line.
Since it is my first surgery, most places recommended non-incisional buried suture or natural adhesion, and they said if I wanted, incisional or partial-incisional surgery would all be possible.
I was surprised that 5 places recommended ptosis correction! On top of that, I was also recommended fat grafting because of hollow eyes. Some places said I have ptosis, while others said I do not need ptosis correction, so please look at my consultation details and help me.
1. ㅍㄹㅁㅇ (ㅡ ㅣ ㅣ ㅓ / Director ㅈㅇㅈ) It was packed and the wait was extremely long. The consultation with the director was good, but the consultant was really bad,, I had gone after designating the chief director, but they talked about money and told me to choose a different doctor for the consultation, so I was dumbfounded. Surgery cost was twice that of other hospitals. Consultation fee 10,000 won. 2. ㄱㄹㄷ (ㅡ ㅣㅏ / Director ㄱㅎㅅ) The director was kind, drew the line several times, and even gave a detailed explanation! -> Buried suture, medial epicanthoplasty + upper epicanthoplasty, optional ptosis correction
3. ㅇㅁㄹ(ㅣㄹ ㅣㅣ / Director ㄷㅇㄹ) The waiting room was packed and the wait was extremely longㅠㅠ They told me to choose between buried suture and incisional surgery. They did not recommend ptosis correction or medial epicanthoplasty. This place recommended the fewest procedures!!! -> Recommended buried suture, upper epicanthoplasty
4. ㅌㅌㅇ (ㅏㅂ ㅣ ㅓ) Calm atmosphere. Fat grafting was necessary because of hollow eyes. -> Buried suture, ptosis correction, medial + upper epicanthoplasty, fat grafting twice
5. ㅅㅅ (ㅣㅓㄴ) A bit of a wait. They said ptosis correction was necessary. -> Buried suture, partial ptosis correction, optional medial + upper epicanthoplasty
6. ㅊㅇ(ㅏㅣ) The wait was no joke,,, it was the longest. The hospital had a calm atmosphere, so waiting was okay. Fat grafting & ptosis correction were necessary. -> Buried suture, medial + upper epicanthoplasty, ptosis correction, fat grafting twice
7. ㄷㄹㅅ (ㅡㅔㅡ / Director ㅎㅅㅈ) They also recommended lateral canthoplasty. This place seems to specialize in fillers. There were more patients waiting for fillers. -> Buried suture, medial epicanthoplasty, upper epicanthoplasty, ptosis correction, recommended lateral + lower canthoplasty
