Procedure -> 3-week review after autologous costal cartilage rhinoplasty

I always wanted to write a review if I liked my nose after surgery. I'm also too embarrassed to take photos and upload them and I didn't get any discount for this, so I'm just not posting photos ^^As I wrote in the title, I'm a case where I had a procedure first and then surgery.The procedure I had was Hiko, recommended by a friend.. (a friend who worked as a coordinator)If you judge only by the effect, there really wasn't much, and when you get Hiko it hurts sooo much..... It hurts when removing it too, and it doesn't last long either, so when you think about it, I don't think there's any reason to do it.If you really, really, really only want to enjoy it for a short period, get the procedure.. If not, seriously consider surgery..Anyway, I like a dramatic nose, so while looking at reviews, I went around for consultations at places that make both the bridge and tip dramatic.For reference, if you booked a consultation at one place, I recommend checking out places around that area.If you choose based only on reviews, going back and forth between stations is seriously exhausting too.. When you go around for consultations, your blood sugar drops and your energy gets drainedThere are also a lot of plastic surgery clinics around that area, so just for reference, I really went to a lot of consultations.But from the online research stage, this place was my number one.I went to other places too in case my mind changed after consultations (because the appointment here was scheduled late, I went to the places that were booked earlier first).I had surgery because I liked the way the director explained rhinoplasty and the nose design the most.What I asked there was:1. If I raise it dramatically, will it not look pinched?According to the director, for my nose, if only the tip is raised without nostril reduction, the bulbous nose would be corrected too, and it wouldn't look pinched.2. Is harvesting autologous costal cartilage really necessary?The director said my nose would be hard to operate on using only septal cartilage, but said donor rib cartilage would also be possible.Instead, he explained the pros and cons of autologous costal cartilage and donor rib cartilage and said the choice was up to me.. It was really difficult.At first, I held out because I didn't want to use autologous costal cartilage, but when I looked into donor rib cartilage, it's literally receiving surgery with something "donated" from someone else, so it felt a bit unsettling.. Silicone is already an implant as it is, and I was worried that if even the tip was done with donor rib cartilage, the chance of side effects might become too highThe first time I regretted doing autologous costal cartilage surgery was because it really hurtWhen I just read other people's reviews, they said, "If you endure it for a few days, you'll be okay~" but after experiencing it myself, a day felt like 240 hours, not 24....On day 3 after surgery, my friend made me laugh and I burst out laughing, and I seriously thought the incision site was going to tear open.It hurt that much.. You have to be careful when putting strain on your abdomen.By my standards, it still hurt intermittently after that, but these days I think it doesn't hurt anymore.This surgery was such a struggle, so if it droops, I think I'd be really too sad....As for the nose shape, the swelling at the tip hasn't all gone down yet, so I think once just that goes down more, it will be perfect.Right now, when I wake up in the morning, it still has a slightly swollen-nose feeling.Well.. It hasn't even been a month yet, so if I already loved it, that would be weirderStill, I like that my nose seems to have gone up dramatically.Conclusion!!If you're debating procedure vs surgery because of your nose, get surgery.I recommend also researching surgery carefully and deciding cautiously....If you go the procedure > surgery route, removal costs money too, so everyone, think carefully!!I'm planning to leave another review when I'm around 3 months post-op.
