My friend had cheekbone surgery here and it turned out well, so I did it here too. For me, it was a revision surgery, so the cheekbone surgery was 7 million won. It’s a large hospital that uses an entire small building, and there are really many Southeast Asian foreign patients and older patients. It runs a bit like a factory, and when you visit, seeing the director is not something that is automatically expected in their system. There also seem to be many staff members specialized for foreign patients. Except for the consultation manager, the nurses don’t really feel very friendly. The doctor seems to pursue a natural aesthetic for the jaw, but for the lateral cheekbones, he seems to like removing them as much as possible. That matched my preferred aesthetic well, so I also did my jaw here.. I had consultations twice, and he said he would use every possible method for my cheekbones..ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ But for the jaw, he pursued natural beauty, saying if it looks obvious, it’s worse than not doing it. It felt like he knew exactly what I wanted even if I didn’t state my needs precisely.
I’ve had a lot of surgeries, but I had never had surgery at such a large hospital, and the director was really busy, so it was hard to see him. The hospital also felt kind of hectic, so I worried, what if they confuse me with someone else? But when I went into the operating room, they brought my photo and put it up ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
After the surgery ended, I honestly felt like I was going to die. I’ve had breast surgery twice and had my tonsils removed, so I’ve had general anesthesia several times, but I had never had such a hard time waking up. For real, for about two hours, I think I fell asleep once every 10 minutes.. My memory is blurry… The pain felt like a dump truck had hit my face haha; Maybe I wasn’t selected for painless anesthesia, but it just hurt so much that I wanted to die… I kept getting painkillers, but it still hurt… Seriously, if I had known it would hurt that much, I wouldn’t have been able to do it. My previous cheekbone surgery was under sedation, and after it ended it didn’t hurt at all, so I went home and devoured pasta, you know? But this time I didn’t even have the strength to shout “painkiller, painkiller,” and I kept feeling like I would lose consciousness. I just kept pressing the bell.. It hurt so much that I wondered, what have I done? I didn’t even have the strength to look at my phone. The surgery ended around 4, but I only looked at my phone at night…
In the operating room, they definitely said, “It’s a surgical needle, so it will hurt a bit~ You’ll go to sleep now~,” but then I suddenly opened my eyes and a dump truck had hit my face…
Oh, the operating room nurses were young, but compared with that, they inserted the needle well, which was kind of surprising. It somehow didn’t look like an operating room. They weren’t wearing surgical clothes and were wearing fleece, so I was like, huh? And I’ve never fallen asleep this fast with sedation either, but I really fell asleep in 3 seconds…
I’m still very swollen and haven’t had the stitches removed yet, so I don’t know the result. For now, I think I’m satisfied with the cheekbones. I haven’t taken a CT scan yet, so I don’t know exactly.. My jaw is so swollen that I can’t tell even by touching it. This place doesn’t use a compression band. Director Oh Chang-hyun speaks in a very cultured way and is very kind.
I had revision surgery because my posterior cheekbones were still left, and now there really are no posterior cheekbones. They say here the posterior fixation pins start at a basic minimum of 8 mm. There are many hospitals that advertise posterior cheekbones, but this place doesn’t do that kind of advertising, so I wondered why not?
And the doctor seems to dislike overuse of medications. Usually, because of swelling, they give steroid injections and prescribe prescription painkillers, but this place doesn’t seem to have that. So I’m not sure about the aftercare.
