It was my first consultation for rhinoplasty, so honestly I was a bit nervous even before going in. The director’s impression itself was quite comforting, so the atmosphere wasn’t bad from the start, and his way of speaking was calm, so I didn’t feel burdened asking questions. He explained the surgical method and the process in really great detail, and instead of only talking about the good points, he also discussed the pros and cons of autologous costal cartilage, which actually made me trust him more. It didn’t feel like he was saying this was unconditionally the best; his style was to explain the criteria for why something was or wasn’t necessary. It was also interesting that he showed me a virtual simulation on an iPad. He didn’t just roughly raise the nose; he explained things like the nasolabial angle as well and found and set an angle that suited my face. Since he explained it with numbers, it was easy to understand, and instead of feeling vague, I could imagine it realistically. Overall, I was quite satisfied for a first-nose consultation, and I liked that he explained things to suit my face rather than pushing an excessive design. I do have consultations booked at other places too, so I’ll look around more, but if they’re not great, I think I’ll have the surgery here.
