After writing my 1-week and 3-week reviews, somehow it’s already been one month since my surgery. At this point, my eyes feel so stable that I’d say recovery is completely finished!! Personally, I actually had almost no discomfort in daily life from around day 10 to 2 weeks after surgery haha
1. Bruising The bruising, including the yellow bruising, had completely disappeared by about 10 days after surgery, and after that, people around me had no idea I’d had surgery even when I went out bare-faced lol. Now at one month, there are absolutely no traces of bruising.
2. Swelling I think there was very slight swelling up until week 2, but honestly, I didn’t really notice it much. After 3 weeks passed, the swelling above and below my eyes completely went down, and now it feels like my eyes are fully back to their original state!!
3. Eye discomfort / how recovery feels Up until week 2, I had a slight feeling in the morning like the conjunctiva of my right eye was sticking a little, or like there was a foreign-body sensation, but now at one month, those symptoms are almost gone!! I think recovery is finished!
4. Appearance changes (the most important part) This surgery doesn’t make dark circles themselves disappear... I had that explained to me thoroughly before surgery too..! But before surgery, the area under my eyes was uneven, so my aegyo-sal looked like it had two layers, which made me look even more tired and hollow Now the area under the aegyo-sal has been smoothed out, so even though I still have dark circles, I look much less tired and my overall impression looks cleaner!! I realized that even with the same dark circles, the impression can change this much~
I think the clean recovery and the bruising going away quickly were thanks to Director Moon Jung-hwan carefully controlling every bit of microbleeding during the surgery!! Now everything has settled so naturally that sometimes I can’t even tell whether these are surgically treated eyes or my original eyes,, (then when I look at my before photos, I’m surprised and think, was it really that bad? lol)
Now that everything has fully stabilized, I’m really highly satisfied with the results, and next time I’ll leave one more final review after more time has passed..! 😊
