I had a history of having nose surgery once 5 years ago, and ever since then I’d been bothered by the step-off in my nasal bridge + the lack of three-dimensionality and my low nose. Thanks to a doctor whose aesthetic sense matched mine, I escaped that obsessive stress.
The 3 things I paid the mo~~~st!!!!!!! attention to and emphasized during my revision were:
1) A low starting point for the nasal bridge Because if it starts high from between the eyebrows, it would look like a chalk-stick nose and ruin my image.
2) Make sure the columella is not recessed, not in a straight line, but rounded This was the most important!! Everyone focuses on raising the nose, but this is really the key point for not looking surgically overdone. During my first surgery, I didn’t even know what the columella was, but this time I paid attention and emphasized it.
3) A nose that isn’t too high, but also isn’t low; that doesn’t look obvious, but still has some three-dimensionality I was the one who requested it, but I wondered how they could even understand this. But now that I look at my nose, they understood it amazingly well.
For me, it was absolutely important that it look natural and not obvious, so I requested it like this. I hope everyone has a good surgery with a doctor who listens well to your opinions, has lots of experience, and understands perfectly even when you explain things badly. That’s all.
