My nose was originally really, really low, but the nasal tip was upturned, so ever since elementary school, “pig nose” was basically my default nickname lol. Once I got to high school, people started teasing me in more detailed ways, saying things like it looked like a botched nose surgery result, “bring your nose here so I can plug in my charger,” or “so-and-so broke up with you after seeing your nose,” etc. lol..
So once I was in high school, I really thought I needed to get nose surgery, and I had surgery in early December of my senior year. But honestly, I wanted a somewhat natural-glam, slim nose (not pointy..)? I just wanted to stop hearing “pig nose” somehow, so I said I’d like it to look slimmer and for my nostrils not to show as much, but honestly it didn’t come out the way I imagined. Still, I’m scared to get revision surgery, so I’m just going to live with it.. Even so, I think it’s better than before, so I think it’s not bad. I also have a nasal bridge now, which I didn’t have before..? Oh, and after raising the nasal bridge, it seems like the epicanthal folds at the inner corners of my eyes disappeared, so I like that a bit haha
Rhinitis surgery (deviated septum) + 6 mm silicone implant for the nasal bridge + autologous cartilage for the nasal tip (ear cartilage)
*I remember the ear cartilage cost an extra 300,000 or 400,000 won per side*
Maybe because I originally didn’t have allergic rhinitis, it wasn’t very uncomfortable, but it definitely felt more comfortable when sleeping.
But the swelling in my nose will go down more, right..?
