It was hard to book a consultation, so I finally came after a long wait, but I was disappointed and am now going around for additional consultations at other clinics. 1. Staff friendliness: You can clearly see that the male staff member at the desk is only kind to the people he wants to be kind to.. He was extremely kind to the person next to me who seemed to have already had surgery and was taking review photos, but toward me, maybe because he thought I wouldn’t bring in a quote, I felt a huge difference in attitude. 2. Expertise: They recommended cartilage tying, but friends around me who have had cartilage tying also said, “Your nose doesn’t need cartilage tying.” I was also told at another clinic that there was no particular need to tie it, so when I asked the consultant whether I really had to do it, the answer was, “Everyone usually does it that way. It’s good to do it while you’re at it.” ?? Cartilage tying costs 1.5 million won, so what does “while you’re at it” mean? They didn’t say what part of my nose would benefit from it, just that it’s usually done as a set, so I should do it, which caught me off guard. 3. Review management: Originally, three procedures cost 5.5 million won, but they took off 1 million won for same-day booking and 1 million won for photo disclosure. Of course I understand managing reviews and reducing the price, but they said they would manage this up to the 6-month mark and asked me to send them selfies about 7 times. Then, after they choose among them and send them back to me, I have to keep posting progress reviews... When I heard the reviews were managed this much, I suddenly lost trust. 4. No anesthesiologist: I’m not sure if nose surgery clinics are usually like that, but they said the director personally administers the anesthesia and performs the surgery, so I just felt kind of put off...
Additional) Just for reference, the surgery fee is more expensive than expected. Even for rhinoplasty..! Keep that in mind before you go.
