I had surgery 2 years ago with silicone + ear cartilage + donated costal cartilage, and since Friday, the tip of my nose looked like a tiny pimple had formed; it was very slightly swollen and red. I remembered hearing somewhere that people who’ve had nose surgery shouldn’t just ignore things like this (that if you miss the golden time, it can become serious), so this morning I went straight to a local ENT clinic and was diagnosed with inflammation. I got antibiotics and booked antibiotic injections starting Monday, and I contacted the place where I had my surgery and scheduled a consultation for Wednesday. Until then, I’m going to get the antibiotics and monitor the condition. Today, I seriously thought all day not only about washing/irrigating the nasal silicone but even removing it, and I’ve made up my mind (it hurts). I hope that because I caught it early, even if I have it removed later, I won’t develop contracture or anything like that. For now, I’m trying to pull myself together mentally and wrote this. Everyone who had their inflammation removed successfully, please leave a comment. I responded quickly, right? Everyone else too, don’t think “it won’t be me”; if you suspect something, go to the hospital first before writing here. I hope that because I found it quickly, even if I remove it, my nose will be similar to how it was before (I’ve given up on everything haha)
