For sunken lateral cheeks: thread lifting < filler < fat grafting

First of all, even though I’m in my 20s, my face shape is bulldog-like + peanut-shaped, so I was often told that I always looked tired. It’s not like I haven’t tried fillers, thread lifting, and laser lifting, but honestly, they were all kind of ambiguous. I would temporarily get that “Wow, it changed!” feeling, but once the boosted period passed, it seemed to get worse, so after going around in circles, I decided on fat grafting!

The reason I chose Saegim was I went to consultations at other hospitals before surgery, and most of them felt like when I told them the “part that bothered me the most,” they would only judge whether that exact part could or couldn’t be done.

To compare it, it felt like there were several itchy spots of varying intensity, and they’d ask “Here?” and only scratch the one strongest spot? haha

But Director Moon Hye-young even pointed out areas I hadn’t mentioned, saying “Doesn’t this area bother you too?” and looked at everything overall on her own. During the consultation, it seemed like she had a good aesthetic sense, so I decided.

The treatment areas were only the lateral cheeks / beside the nose / under the eyes / chin tip.

During the first session, my thighs hurt more than my face. It was uncomfortably painful for a week, and after that it was just minor aches here and there Also, during the first surgery, I had an upset stomach issue, and the manager and operating room nurses kept asking whether I felt better right up until I went into surgery, which was a little touching haha. The other staff were generally kind too.

However, to be honest, the effect of the first session was so subtle that I wondered, “Huh? Did I really get it done…?” I think it may have been because my expectations were too high and I was also careless with aftercare.

So for the second session, I really worked hard on aftercare. Because of that, I’m definitely more satisfied than with the first session.

The sunken lateral cheeks, which were my biggest concern, were explained from the first consultation as being an issue with the retaining ligament rather than fat, so I was told the shadow wouldn’t disappear completely. So I didn’t get greedy and proceeded with the mindset of “let’s at least refine it” rather than “let’s eliminate it.” As a result, it’s better than before, but personally I’m still quite disappointed. I guess that’s human greed haha

As a side note, the under-eye area and chin tip that she pointed out on her own are seriously so satisfying. I hadn’t even thought of them, but I’m so satisfied that I wonder why I hadn’t thought of them before.
