I had nose surgery on January 2. I spent a year doing online research in a community, and Finish matched my aesthetic sense the best. I wanted a natural result that only improved my complexes, so I had it done by Dr. OHS. For any surgery, you should visit several places for consultations, but when I did online research, there was nowhere I liked other than PNS, so it was a gamble, but I only consulted at PNS and booked right away.. haha
Materials) Autologous costal cartilage + silicone used Some people say autologous costal cartilage is not used from a first surgery, but I thought ear cartilage would droop quickly, and the septal cartilage was not enough to use, so I used autologous costal cartilage. I also chose this place because I knew PNS was good at using autologous costal cartilage.
Consultation review) At PNS, they take a CT scan during the consultation to first check whether the autologous costal cartilage is calcified. Then they explain based on the CT and photos. The photo retouching is just for reference, and my result came out even more to my liking than the retouched photo. I did not have much time, so I had a quick consultation and left in 30 minutes, but the director examined me very thoroughly. Considering my forehead and nasolabial angle, he told me where the height should start from and about how much it should be raised.
Surgery review) Before surgery, you get something like a health checkup..? at a nearby internal medicine clinic, and PNS covers the cost. Still, because they did this kind of testing, I felt reassured, thinking I probably would not die during surgery. On the day of surgery, I washed my face, had one more consultation with the director about what surgery we had decided to do, and then went into the operating room. When I lay down, they put in an IV and attached various things to me (probably for heart rate and stuff..?), then the medication went in and I fell asleep right away. I had general anesthesia, so I just closed my eyes and opened them, and the surgery was over. When the surgery ends, you have an abdominal binder on, and your nose is blocked, so you end up breathing through your mouth. My throat hurt and was dry, but after a little while I could drink water..^^ I was supposed to have the cotton removed from inside my nose after one day, but my throat was so dry that I could not sleep, so on the first day I just sat in a recliner, drank water, and watched Netflix. I heard some people have the cotton removed after one week. How do they endure that.. After one day, once the cotton was removed, I could breathe, but because of the runny nose, my nose kept getting blocked and unblocked repeatedly. And my rib area hurt soooo much that I could not lie down or get up by myself.. Still, after one week, I could lie down by myself, and by the second week, it did not hurt at all. The most painful thing was stitch removal… I did it while crying Personally, I am very satisfied, and although the cost was on the expensive side, I did it with the mindset of finishing it in one go, so I have no regrets!
