Breast surgery day 1 + review up to day 7 💥 Honestly… I was freaking terrified right up until surgery 😭 Even after reading hundreds of reviews, once it became “my turn,” my heart was pounding… But to start with the conclusion? 👉 It was waaay more okay than I expected
First, I had it done by Director Oh Jae-won at Glam Plastic Surgery, and to explain why I chose the clinic, usually when you look at reviews, they’re all immediate post-op reviews, right? Here, there were reviews from 5–7 years later, and even reviews after pregnancy, so I thought, “Ah, they really operate with the long term in mind here,” and that made me trust them.
On top of that ✔️ Unlimited aftercare ✔️ If a problem occurs, 1 revision surgery free of charge ✔️ A breast-specialized clinic As soon as I saw those things… I was like “OK, this is it,” and only went in-person to this one place haha I didn’t even think about going anywhere else And I watched everything on their website and YouTube too
The consultation was with Manager Sookhyun, and she explained everything by matching it exactly with photos similar to the look I wanted, so throughout the consultation I kept going, “Ah yes yes yes, that’s right,” and was completely trusting her
I had the consultation around early January 2024, I think, and after that I diligently saved up money and fixed the surgery date right away for winter 2024 🗓️
The pre-op tests were simpler than I expected too! They drew blood and did a breast ultrasound But… honestly, getting blood drawn is still hard for me because I’m still a baby 😇 (The director is very chic and blunt, but I already knew that before going, so it didn’t really affect my decision to have surgery. If anything, I thought that since he’s chic but everyone still praises the clinic, there must be a reason)
Before going into surgery, I got another thorough explanation from Manager Cheonggeul Jina about side effects, precautions, and things like that, then entered the operating room! I was really nervous before surgery, but the nurses were so sweet I closed and opened my eyes and they said the surgery was over. The so-sweet nurse unnies helped me up and sat me on the bed, so I barely managed to sit up (I’m from out of town, so I was admitted 🛏️)
Pain on days 0–1 But honestly… For about 1 hour after surgery, the pain exploded 😭 For a moment I slightly regretted it, like “Ah… why did I…?” But once they gave me painkillers, it definitely became manageable, and maybe because it was an inframammary fold incision, after that, if I stayed still, it almost didn’t hurt!! It did throb when I moved though
I’ve had nose surgery too, and back then it seriously hurt so much I couldn’t even sleep, you know? So with breast surgery, I felt like, “Huh? It’s okay if I stay still?” lol
I did sleep sitting up, but I was so grateful that it didn’t hurt as long as I stayed still 🙏 Of course, it felt a bit stiff and sore, but 👉 it was at an “I’m okay” manageable level
After surgery, ⏰ water was allowed 3 hours later / food 6 hours later, and even though it was late, Manager Cheonggeul Jina personally brought me water and Pocari, and around 11 PM she even properly set up a meal for me 👉 so I immediately feasted + took my meds 🍚💊
The pain gradually decreased over 📅 days 0–7, and the common pattern was: If I stayed still, it didn’t hurt / if I moved, it felt stiff and sore!
If I had to pick the single most uncomfortable thing… it was not being able to shower 😇 I checked in at the hair salon to get my hair washed lol
It’s still early, so the shape is firm, but now I think more, “I’m glad I did it” I’m entering week 2 now, and I keep forgetting I had breast surgery The current breast appearance is even more flipped over
That’s the end of my honest self-paid review up to day 7! ✨
