This is my honest review 4 months after breast surgery. I felt too many things to write it briefly, so I’ll write a slightly long one. The changes I feel now are much more realistic than right after surgery, and I think this is the period when the pros and cons become clearly divided. First, to talk about the advantages, the biggest thing I feel is definitely how clothes fit. Clothes that used to make my upper body look weak or had an awkward fit now make my lines come alive just by putting them on. Especially tight clothes, low-cut tops, and knitwear feel almost like completely different clothes. Since I have more volume, my body proportions naturally look better, and maybe because of that, after breast surgery I actually became more motivated and lost a lot of weight too. Before, I didn’t have much volume in my upper body, so I didn’t have a strong motivation to diet, but now I find myself thinking, ‘I want to make this body shape even prettier.’ As a result, I’ve gotten much closer to the body shape I wanted. On the other hand, the disadvantages are also clear. When hugging someone or lying face down, I can definitely feel that there is silicone inside, so it can be uncomfortable. It’s the same when running; I’m not as free as before, and sometimes I feel like my shoulders round forward because of the weight of my breasts. Also, when I wear a sports bra, there is that particular tight, suffocating feeling from firmly holding the breasts, so it subtly bothers me when exercising. And what I personally found disappointing was that Giraffe Plastic Surgery does not separately perform an ultrasound examination. I think the importance of this will vary from person to person, but I’m writing it down for reference. Sometimes the fact that ‘there is silicone inside my body’ really feels quite foreign. Whenever that happens, I end up touching them for no reason, and I also wonder whether this choice was right. Nevertheless, even taking all of this into account, I’m very satisfied. I can wear the clothes I want to wear, and when I look in the mirror, I can visually feel that I’ve become prettier, so my self-esteem naturally went up a lot too. I’ve become much more confident when taking photos or meeting people. If there is just one thing I regret now, it’s that I should have gone bigger with the breast size back then. Once I got used to it, I started wanting more. I think this is something only people who have actually had the surgery can truly relate to. Overall, it’s not perfect, but I do not regret my choice.
