I've had a lot of concerns about my jaw since I was young, and right around this time last year I had square jaw surgery!! Because I have a lot of facial fat, liposuction was recommended too, but I decided to do only the square jaw surgery first haha. Since it's a bone-shaving surgery, I looked up a lot of things and did a lot of research, and I decided after considering the money I had at the time (paid with my own money...) and lots of Google search reviews and things like that (back then I didn't really know about joining cafes and stuff). I think I mainly looked for hospitals that had as few side effects as possible, no surgical accidents, no shadow doctors, and seemed at least somewhat trustworthy. I paid the event price under the condition that I had to write reviews and provide photos for 6 months (not posting reviews directly on an app, but sending them to the hospital)!! What I was most worried about was things like nerve paralysis after surgery, but as soon as the director saw my CT images, he said my jaw was really ideal for surgery lolololol, that my nerve line was completely on the inside so I didn't need to worry. I said I wanted a strong frontal effect as well as the side profile, and he said that was no problem at all, that he would do as much as possible but keep it natural so it wouldn't become an overly shaved “dog jaw” look. Since my jaw was asymmetric, he said he would correct that too, and then I had the surgery. When I asked every single thing I was curious about, he explained it cheerfully and in detail, and he seemed very confident about the surgery. That made him feel trustworthy. The consultant was also really cheerful, so we talked about so many random things lol. We talked about how my nails were so pretty but it was such a shame I'd have to remove them for surgery and stuff like that. After surgery, one day of hospitalization was mandatory, so I stayed for a day. Whenever I watched YouTube reviews, a lot of people said it didn't hurt much, so I was like, come on, isn't that just because you don't remember everything because of the anesthesia?? But after surgery, I also didn't particularly feel pain haha... My mom said I was seriously tough lololololol. No, but it really didn't hurt, and right after surgery my sensation was a bit dulled, so I didn't feel anything. It felt like touching your jaw after getting a wisdom tooth extracted... If anything, the IV was so uncomfortable that I kept waking up Not being able to drink water and staying fasting the whole time wasn't especially uncomfortable either... (Maybe because of the anesthetic, I just wasn't hungry, but this probably varies by person.) I did have the compression band on, but the moment I touched my jaw, I was genuinely amazed by how much smaller it had gotten I had to keep wearing the compression band for a few days even after going home, and at that time it tightened every time I opened my mouth, so it was uncomfortable... And the mouthwash solution was pretty awful. The swelling did last a bit, as expected. A few days later, when I took off the compression band, I suddenly became Dooly lololololol. It was so funny that I think I took tons of photos by myself lol. But after getting the swelling laser and massage? at the hospital, the major swelling went down fast. I didn't do any other swelling care in particular, and they just told me to keep doing warm/cold compresses diligently, so I only did that. Everyone says pumpkin porridge is the best for swelling, but I don't really like pumpkin, so I just didn't eat it... haha. But definitely on days when I walked a lot going to and from the hospital, it felt like the swelling had gone down more than the day before. I also tend to deswell quickly. Maybe I have the constitution for surgery hahaha. It was a year ago, so I don't remember well, and I went back and looked at the review I sent the hospital at the time; apparently from a little over 2 weeks after surgery, I was going out to meet friends and stuff. But no one except my family knows I had surgery lolololol. It's not that the surgery had no effect; the before-and-after photos are really completely clear, but they made my jaw look natural, like something I could have originally had. Everyone just says, did you somehow get prettier while I didn't see you?? Is it because it's been a while? Like that lolololol. Now I can't even remember what my old jaw looked like. Anyway, final review... I'm really, really, really, really satisfied!!!! I'm not trying to encourage plastic surgery or anything, but honestly I think it's the best thing I've ever done in my life haha. So far, I have no regrets at all. Of course, since it involves touching bone, it's not something to take lightly...... And what I wrote doesn't apply 100% to everyone; it definitely varies by person!! But for me, I think it was a really good choice. Even if I went back, I'd definitely do it!! Super satisfied
