Hello! It's been 3 months since I had 3 types of facial contouring at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and now I'm approaching 4 months haha. Since high school, I had a complex about my lower face. I had a protruding mouth and a long, wide chin, so I couldn't even think about turtlenecks, and whether it was a selfie or a photo someone else took, I always edited it before uploading. Later, I stopped taking photos altogether. Afterward, when I became an adult, I got protruding-mouth orthodontic treatment, and my protruding mouth improved a lot, but as I lost facial fat, my cheekbones and jaw looked even more prominent. I realized this wasn't fat but bone, and decided on facial contouring. I searched hospitals for several years and decided on an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic. Since it's major surgery that touches bone, I put safety first. When I went into the consultation, even without me saying what direction I wanted, they understood, and when the director said they don't do overly excessive surgery, I decided as soon as I went for the consultation. Now at 3 months, a lot of the swelling that seemed like it would never go down has gone down. Only swelling that I can recognize remains, and if I don't sleep well or eat salty food, I swell much more than before surgery the next day. But these things don't happen if you manage them well, so I don't worry too much. Until the second month, my face was pretty swollen, so I thought people around me must have noticed I had surgery, but every single one said I looked prettier because I lost weight, which was fascinating. Even in the mirror, my lines look nicely refined, and especially because my chin length and 45-degree cheekbones disappeared, my impression became much softer than before surgery. Until the second month, it felt unnatural when I smiled, but maybe because the dissolvable stitches inside my chin are gradually disappearing, I can now smile widely and naturally. I was most worried about swelling under the chin and cheek swelling on both sides of the nose, but after looking up reviews and enduring it, at some point a slim face came into view. That was exactly at 3 months. I hadn't even cared about temple swelling, but it was already gone. The swelling under my chin has almost recovered to pre-surgery level, and the cheek swelling beside my nose that I cared about the most has about 10% left. It looks like cheek fat, so personally I hope it doesn't go away, but since it's swelling, it will go down. Swelling won't stay forever, so if you manage it diligently and wait, it all goes down. The swelling had been going down unevenly, but that has also become fairly symmetrical now. Maybe because I used the left side of my face a lot before surgery, my left side went down more slowly. The sideburn scars also faded a lot after I applied scar ointment morning and evening after showering. Since they're covered by hair, no one knows unless they deliberately lift the hair and look closely. For eating, until the second month, opening my mouth and chewing were a little uncomfortable. I could open up to two and a half fingers, and I cut food so it could fit into my mouth in one bite as much as possible. But at 3 months, like magic (there's no other way to describe this...), my mouth opened all the way, and now I'm even eating wraps. But just in case, I don't force it open. Still, it's enough to go to the dentist and get scaling, and even if I keep it open for a long time, there's no strain at all. However, I plan to keep avoiding hard foods. For swelling care, I'm drinking red bean tea and riding an indoor bicycle, and I also walk 1-2 times a week for 2 hours each. I don't do it breathlessly like interval training, just enough to get lightly sweaty. Every morning, I'm diligently managing swelling with moderate cardio and red bean tea. I'm living so comfortably that I can barely remember the first week after surgery. I sleep on my side, use the Aquapick whenever I think of it, and I've almost returned to my pre-surgery daily life. Even if I went back, I think I would have the surgery again. My impression changed really a lot.

I regularly get Botox for my square jaw, but this is my first time getting salivary gland Botox. My double chin is severe, and I was told it might be a salivary gland issue rather than fat, so I tried it.

It is just a textbook factory-style clinic. I get jaw Botox regularly once every six months, so I go where it is cheap and close, and it is a good value place for getting it done.
