Photos from my failed retroauricular square jaw surgery

I had square jaw surgery 2~3 years ago at ㅇㅇ using the method done behind the ears, and the cost was about 5 million won for jaw + muscle resection. Maybe because it was done behind the ears, it seemed like they couldn’t even touch the front chin area, and a stair-step secondary angle also developed on the side line. The worst part in all this was that the left-right balance was extremely different. The amount of bone they cut was different too, but above all, the amount of muscle they cut was so different that it became a deformed shape. On one side, they cut a lot of both bone and muscle, but on the other side, it was done to the level of barely touching both bone and muscle. It was honestly like they stopped in the middle because they didn’t want to continue. After doing this, they calmly said the surgery was successful, and I think that person really had no professional ethics. I didn’t know well back then, but this person clearly lacked skill; maybe they couldn’t minimize bleeding during surgery, because I had to live with a blood drainage bag attached for about 3 days, and there was basically no post-op care. For swelling reduction, it ended after one session of something like compression that made my ears hurt. They didn’t even do the common light therapy. Then 1 year later, I had revision surgery somewhere else and recovered the balance to some extent, but I’m annoyed that I wasted unnecessary money. The revision surgery was done intraorally, and I think jaw surgery is best done through the mouth. They slightly refined the bone more to remove the secondary angle, and they said the side of the jaw that was relatively enlarged was more of a muscle issue than a bone issue. On the opposite side of the jaw, they had removed a lot of muscle, so even now if I consciously look for it, there is somewhat of a gnawed-away feeling, but not to the extent that the balance looks broken. The hospital I went to was beyond just lacking skill; it was at the level of irresponsibility with no professional ethics, so I’m posting this for reference. (The photos are from the first hospital.)
