In early December 2025, I had three procedures at a plastic surgery clinic: double-chin liposuction + double-chin muscle tying + jawline liposuction (additional area), and the total payment was 1,930,000 KRW (I have the receipt).
The point I’m unhappy about is not “whether I agreed to the additional area or not,” but that the price guidance was extremely confusing from start to finish.
- I went after seeing the app event price as 1,530,000 KRW (153) - During the consultation, they said the price would go up if I added the jawline (I was informed of an additional fee) - They also said it would be possible for 1,930,000 KRW if conditions like “same-day payment / reservation deposit non-refundable” were attached
So in the end, I proceeded at that amount.
But later, when I looked at reviews, there were many posts that looked like 130 or 153, and some posts looked like they had done even more than I did, yet the amount seemed similar, so I wondered, “Did I pay way too much?” and checked with the clinic.
The clinic’s explanation was: - What looks like 130 is a notation excluding VAT/anesthesia fee, so the actual payment is 153, in that sense - The jawline addition is originally 80, but they said I received it for around 60
But honestly, from a consumer’s perspective, if it looks like 130 on the app or in reviews, you can’t help but think, “Is the final payment amount 130?” Whether VAT/anesthesia fee is excluded, what the actual payment amount is, and exactly how much the additional area costs are things that should have been clearly explained “in writing” from the beginning.
And regarding the review, what also felt unpleasant was that since the event was conditional on writing a review, they requested 1-month photos from multiple angles, but when I posted things as they were, they told me to “take the post down,” which made me trust them even less.
As for the effect... based on the 1-month mark, I personally didn’t feel a big difference, and there is still swelling left. The clinic said, “You need to wait 6 months,” but then I understood even less why they were urgently asking for a 1-month review for marketing purposes.
Conclusion: If you are planning to do an event here, be sure to get “the total amount (whether it includes VAT/anesthesia fee), the unit price for additional areas, and what the refund conditions are” as a “written estimate / detailed breakdown” before proceeding.
I hope no one has to get stressed after payment because of price notation like I did. And what’s really absurd is that the general manager called and asked me to delete the review I wrote exactly as it was, saying something like it’s better to keep things nice. I’m speechless.
