Review on day 4 after implant-free bulbous nose + hump nose surgery

Before <before surgery (front)> Before <before surgery (side)> Before <days 1-4 front> Before <days 1-4 side> Before <day 4 side> Before <day 4 side> #Rhinoplasty day 4 I had always felt unsatisfied with my nose shape because of my hump nose and bulbous nose that looked like a six-clove garlic, and after thinking about it for years, I decided to have surgery. I had consultations at several clinics, and I decided to have surgery at Yejin Plastic Surgery in Apgujeong because it matched the nose shape I wanted (natural yet refined, not flashy, but with a pretty line haha). During the consultation, the director took photos with a tablet and explained the surgical details in a detailed, easy-to-understand way. I liked that he clearly said what was not possible and did not push surgery on me! (I wanted alar base reduction, but he said my nostrils were small, so it would probably be better not to do it, and that correcting only the bulbous nose would be enough to make it balanced with my face and look pretty.) During the consultation, I showed photos of actress Kim Yoo-jung and NMIXX's Sullyoon. After finishing an additional consultation with the consultation manager, I set the surgery date! The surgery I received was open rhinoplasty consisting of nasal tip surgery, hump nose correction, bulbous nose surgery, and columellar retraction correction, and autologous cartilage (ear cartilage) was used. On the day of surgery, I was a little nervous, but the nurses kindly guided me, and after one more consultation with the director, I went into surgery. When I woke up, the surgery was over, and they told me I could go home once the dizziness passed while lying down in the recovery room, so I lay there for about 10 minutes? and then went home haha. When I arrived home, sensation came back around my mouth and I felt the anesthesia wearing off. Maybe because I took the prescribed medication, my nose did not hurt at all, and the ear where cartilage was taken felt slightly stiff and uncomfortable rather than painful. Breathing was the hardest because of the cotton packing inside my noseㅠ On day 1 after surgery, I was told swelling and bruising would start around then, but for me, the bruising did not become very noticeably visible, and the swelling was about the level of swelling after eating ramen the night before and sleeping? Then I went to the clinic to have the cotton packing inside my nose removed. It did not hurt at all and felt refreshing. My nose opened up completely, and breathing became really comfortable. They also removed the bandage wrapped around my ear, rewrapped only the wound area, and made something like an earplug to prevent deformation of the ear shape by taking a mold of my ear. The director also said I was not very swollen. On days 2-3 after surgery, I just stayed home and managed the swelling with the ice pack the clinic gave me. The splint felt a bit like a protector, so my nose pulled slightly, but it did not particularly hurt, and once I wore the ear protector, my ear became much less uncomfortable. Maybe because I was taking the medication, there was nothing very painful or difficult haha. On day 4 after surgery, I finally had the splint removed, and it hurt a bit when it was removedㅠ Still, it was pulled off in just 3-4 seconds, so it was tolerable. I also received a swelling laser treatment and came home, and the area where the hump had been was bruised. From the front, a lot of swelling has not gone down yet, but I am satisfied with the nose shape itself haha. And the nose line and height! I did not have the bridge of my nose touched separately, but after shaving down the hump and lifting the nasal tip, the exact line I wanted came out! It is still only day 4, so a lot of the swelling has not gone down, but I am very satisfied! I am really looking forward to the days as the swelling goes down.
