I had surgery the day before yesterday, was discharged this morning, and at home, I fell asleep sitting up, then ate yogurt, porridge, and New Care banana flavor, used ice packs, and watched Netflix like crazy.
First, they said I’d swell a lot from days 2 to 4 after surgery, so I thought I should just let everything go and focus hard on gargling, but surprisingly, bruising is slowly creeping up on my face, while the swelling is better than I expected. And the pain is okay too. Actually, I took my prescribed medication together with powdered Tylenol from the pharmacy that you can take without water. There’s no need to force yourself to endure pain, right?
Since I had 3-part facial contouring plus nasolabial fold liposuction, I was really nervous, but my experience on day 1 after surgery is, huh? This is manageable? And for swelling, just like the clinic manager said, moving around like crazy really seems to be the best. Today, the first day after surgery, I set the treadmill to 4 and walked for quite a while, and I’m planning to go out for a walk soon too.
Am I some kind of beast with recovery power?? Anyway, I had the surgery expecting pain like I was going to die, (and I’m definitely not saying it’s comfortable, it’s hard) maybe because I prepared myself so intensely before surgery, or maybe thankfully, well, it’s bearable. I want the dreaded 5 days to pass quickly and see my facial contour. I’ll probably swell more tomorrow, but I’ll manage it diligently and keep moving again. Everyone getting facial contouring, stay strong!!
